S Bey for T Eason

Post#1 » by Shooter1 » Sun Dec 4, 2022 4:19 pm

T Eason will be behind J Smith as long as they play together. Bojan is better at playing SF.

This is a win win for both teams. It sure Houston would do this but I would love to get Eaton in this team.

Sign me up! Loved Eason in last year's draft.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Rockets wont do this. Tanking teams dont trade talented rookies for players like Bey.

Rocket's definitely arent doing that, and why do we never have a trade thread stickied in this forum?

Bey wants to get paid. Does Houston think they want to pay him? If not, they don't do this.

It’s a win-win for us, in that we get a soon-to-be much cheaper player that could also end up better.

Not seeing any win for Houston here.

Had Eason top 5. No way in hell Houston does this.

Yes please. T Eason is good. I doubt Houston would do it tho, sadly.

This thread's a little silly. The deeper question isn't can we make a trade, but can Bey figure it out. I think the Pistons had a solid player, encouraged him to do too much, and then lost the first draft. Lots of players come into the NBA thinking they'll be the entire focus for their team's offense, and then can't make it in the league when they don't have that level of talent and can't adjust their skills to fit a need on the roster.

Saben Lee never figured that out. I do think in time Bey will. I wouldn't trade Bey right now unless he's just part of a larger trade.

Point is J Smith is in the way of Eason getting min and they could use a young SF. Bey is not blocked too. I would add more is needed but before long Houston will be trading Eason or J Smith.

We should be exploring Celtics trades. They'll go for Bey's "leprechaun took a dump in his hair" look.

Bey, needs to stop driving all the time, needs to get back onto the spot up shooting. He's never going to be a great slasher, not fast enough or athletic enough to finish like that. Only thing he should do inside the 3 point line is wide open 2 pointers and maybe post up smaller players from time to time.

Right thought, but hard to get another youth for Bey at this point. More likely to get a young-ish vet who can space.

S Bey started out as a lights out 3-point shooter then decided to see if he could add other aspects to his game. He couldn't and then stopped being a lights out 3-point shooter. I don't think the H Rockets would be willing to part with T Eason for him. Why wouldn't they keep higher ceiling, more years of player control, and youth? The D Pistons need to focus on S Bey's development because any trades that come along won't match what S Bey could become if he goes back to being a better version of his rookie year.

I’m not trading Bey until we get a real coach in here.

Are you still blaming the coach for Stanley Johnson?
That's on Bey, not on Casey, it's not difficult to see that.

I think it’s pretty clear, that while Casey seems like a great mentor of young men, he’s a disaster as a schematic coach. Someone needs to teach these young guys how to work cohesively within an offense. Define specific roles for each while playing to their strengths.

Someone to design sets to get guys looks in their spots.

Bey can't even hit open shots anymore. There were teams leaving him open on purpose from 3 as their defensive strategy (like teams do with Hayes). How's that Casey's fault? The guy is a mess.
