Elite level young prospect who still has time to blow up on offense. Durant is 16 years in and a bit too injury prone and douchebaggy. Davis would still command a huge price but can become UFA in 1.5 years.

I am torn here between he and Jokic. Back-to-back MVPs is hard to argue against. I'm going Luka strictly because of the 4 year age difference.

I think Durant is the single player not on this list who could take a team from a bubble playoff team to a true contender (e.g. SAC) and IMO that gives him more trade value that some of the younger guys. But I understand the reverse opinion, too, and think this is context dependent.

I’ve mention this in previous years, but the value of a player to real GM’s is about a lot more than on court statistics. GM’s are concerned with the franchise, and there are few players who have ever meant more to their franchise than LeBron. His value goes beyond sellouts at every venue, as even non-basketball fans recognize he’s a part of history and want a glimpse. He is the most marketable NBA player - maybe #2 all time. Need to sway a corporate sponsor? Ask LeBron to join you when you meet the guy for lunch. Does your franchise need legitimacy? LeBron is an instant answer. Need leadership? LeBron could help a team on the court this year, and if you can get him to stay attached to your franchise, a key asset for the rest of his life.

There are just a handful of guys that are better players than LeBron, but it’s questionable how many are more valuable overall.
