If Jimmy needs someone to come push him maybe Irving, Durant or Westbrook can do it, I don't know.

Go cheap, go get Pat Bev, he'll get in anyone's face and give effort when on the court.

Its not the worst idea. Beverly was Minnesota's MVP in a banner year.

Serious question..... has there been in the history of the NBA, another coach who refuses to play first round picks but obsesses over playing undrafted dudes ? And the worse they are, the more he plays them?
Idk why everyone says spo is a good coach. That fool got lucky to have three of the arguably top 5 players in the NBA at the time playing for him. Infact if it wasn't for Riley that phuckface wouldn't even be a coach on this team. He not a good coach. He might be a good assistant coach to get the lower guys to perform harder, but not a good head coach. Never has been. Dude never makes an adjustment to save his life, no matter how obvious it is. Infact the more obvious it is the more he digs in his bs.

Always been a history of coaches who rather play older players on playoff veteran teams. Usually only lotto players get play regardless not so called 1st round pick. Labled a first round pick in the nba doesn't mean much. This is not the NFL. Lotto pick us equivalent to the first 2 rounds of the NFL.wadenation305 wrote:Serious question..... has there been in the history of the NBA, another coach who refuses to play first round picks but obsesses over playing undrafted dudes ? Re: Miami Heat 22-23 Regular Season Thread 2.0
This shocked me:
Lowry has been a stabilizing force for the Heat this season when others have been out. He has played the second-most minutes (907) in the NBA this season behind only Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant (921).

Dude is averaging over 36 minutes per game. That’s roster negligence. There’s no way he’s not going to do a hamstring or get an injury that sidelined him if we keep this up.

Nope, and I’m pretty sure nobody in the locker room wants to hear his preaching bullsh either.

Those older players are veterans of the NBA, established, with history. A known commodity. Not freaking Hamish Highsmith. Random target employee we decided to bring into the game one day. One thing would be for spo to play say, a boogie cousins over Jovic. And another is to literally bring in a g-league player that the whole NBA said wouldn't be useful as none drafted him over a guy that was actually drafted and actually has some sort of potential.
Spo until recently would play Robinson non stop no matter how bad or how off his shooting was. He just told him to" keep shooting bud. Eventually they'll go in". No matter how bad he sucked on defense, he just let him play. But if you're drafted. God forbid you blow an assignment or make any sort of mistake. You'll be buried and never heard of again.

Re: Miami Heat 22-23 Regular Season Thread 2.0
I think the most frustrating thing for fans this season is the fact that we have plenty of tools... bam, Herro and specially JB are more than ready to be NBA stars on an NBA leading team... every second that goes by, seems like they're NBA time is going to waste
This is just a rough patch, but it is easy to see we should not be so mediocre, maybe it's the price to pay for being so lucky in the past three or four seasons
Don't worry guys it is obvious we will right this ship in the next two or three years
yes it is obvious that pat is too old to be more than a figurehead maybe Alonzo is being groomed, maybe Eric, maybe we need another coach, maybe it's just a chemistry problem within the team... this ship will be righted...this is Miami

Re: Miami Heat 22-23 Regular Season Thread 2.0
I think this team needs to add a legit 4 or 5 that is a good fit next to Bam and then 2 players for the 2nd unit. I honestly believe the bench is the main culprit for us being terrible this season. They come in and give literally nothing. We just watched 2 games in a row against horrible competition where Bam and Herro helped build an 11 point first quarter lead and then the second they checked out we lost all momentum we had built. The bench needs actual nba level talent, not these undrafted 1 dimensional players.

Re: Miami Heat 22-23 Regular Season Thread 2.0
If we don’t have something planned to bring in a star I think the following teams could be perfect partners to help us round out our roster and get it to where it needs to be:
Pacers
Hornets
Wizards
Pistons (even moreso if our father Bojan could be traded)
Bulls
Magic
Jazz
A bunch of EC teams and the Jazz

Yeap, there so many moving parts that are wrong with this team. We need a huge reset.
