Do you guys know Biid settles more jumper than Jokic?

Jokic average shot attempt distance is at 8ft.
Biid is at 11.6ft

I dont want him to take it inside, where he’d look like a mortal with guys like Brook Lopez and Jaren Jackson blocking his shots.

Everyone gets their shot blocked by those guys. I'm talking about when his jumper isn't falling a nice little hook shot should serve him well.

Dont get me wrong i wasnt responding to your post, which i dont disagree with.

My point is offensively, we may be fine letting Biid play with a non floor spacer. Not always.

What matters is TS% though, and Embiid is fantastic at 62.4%. Embiid is the only player with 32+ PPG and 62%+ TS, it doesn't get better than this siuuuu

Dont get me wrong.

This is elite. 10th among players with atleast 57 attempts

I could be wrong but seems like there’s a growing trend of players taking mid range shots

32.2 PPG at 63.6% TS, only Embiid would receive so much hate with such numbers.

Your right, I remember CWebb used to do a short jump hook once inawhile, very efficient shot over big shotblockers

Exactly. know his mid range game has been efficient and elite in some aspects. But as a big man who's going to have defenses completely focused on him. I would like to see him have a go2 other than the face up. Good teams will game plan and since he's makes the offense go having a off-night from him shooting wise could mean a certain playoff loss or losses.

Think about the top east teams like celtics and Bucks they have great defense team and individually. They know how to double and crowd Embiid and usually how he negates that is when his jumper is falling at a high rate and he's passing the ball out to shooters when needed. But what about when his jumper isnt falling?.. I dont trust a Harden or Tobias to carry that load against a locked in defensive team in the playoffs. That's why I believe him developing a quick little hook shot in the lane is something he should have as a go2 in his arsenal. Something that can shake up his style of play a little and also get him going if he is in a shooting slump.

Embiids offensive versatility at that size is part of what make him special. I think he can continue to add going into his early 30's as his athleticism declines, I'm hoping his skill set continue to sharpen.

If this is the Embiid evolution I'm all for it. More mid-range, more off the dribble, less post up. More finishing, spot creation. We've got guys like M&M getting him easy looks and he's cashing in. Harden and Maxey should be able to do it better than M&M.

We should focus more on guard dribble penetration and probing forays into the paint to get Embiid the ball for easy finishes and out of position defenders who he can draw fouls on.

I think this has the makings of something special.

You’re right about the hook shot. Something he can add and maybe even do more often

33.4 PPG on 64.2% TS, he is going nuclear this season, this is pure DOMINANCE and NOBODY can stop him!

Since last season he has turned into a 7'2 Khawi, which is insane.

It's a damn shame we were never able to build a good coherent team around him.

Hope this postseason hes healthy and mentally ready to keep this level of play, in that case we are going to have a shot just because of him.

Yes and no. More middies, yes. More finishing straight off the dish, yes. More off the dribble, no. Less dribbling for Jo.
