Should be in the gym working on his jumpshot instead

Thank you. Exactly.

And how about getting some rest after being sick for so long.

That’s just a bad look. I don’t mind professionals enjoying themselves, but it’s way too early in his career to be the mid season party guy.

I don't have any issues with this.

I rather disagree with the narrative that he works on his game 30 hours a day and that his supernatural work ethic guarantees that he will eventually surpass his peers. First of all, it won't, because talent matters, and we know he has ventures outside of basketball, and he's in the best market to pursue those other interests.

I do fear for his commitment to the game when he inevitably becomes a bit part player or a supporting actor in the NBA. His motivation assumedly is that he believes he's destined for stardom. We will see.

But this in and of itself is a non-issue to me.

If he had commitment to his game, he would’ve been either home resting or staying late t get some work on his shot.

I have no problems with a 22 year old going to clubs either but I think that when your play on the court has come into question this season after signing a $100 million contract and you just finished a game where you shot an abysmal 4-14 FGs (30%) along with 3 turnovers and some suspect defense, then maybe going out clubbing isn’t the best way to go about your business. Certainly not from a PR/marketing perspective.

He should be in the gym working on his 3 point shot. That’s what you do when you have that unquenchable thirst to be great. I betcha Thibs thinks he should be in the gym or home resting. That’s just RJ showing his immaturity imo.

If he was out to dinner at some nice restaurant with his teammates, that would be another thing. I’d be fine with that. But not out at some club chugging beers.

This is commitment:

Don't most 20 year olds go to bars and clubs on occasion? Even those that have issues at work? Silly to suggest that they never go out and just work 24/7. What do you think he is? Some kind of robot?

counterpoint - why should he be allowed to have any fun when he makes us miserable watching the knicks?

There were a bunch of Knicks players there. So whoever started this BS about RJ should take a seat and STFU!
