Banged up Hawks look to rebound vs. Nets

The Atlanta Hawks will be undermanned again on Friday night as their roadtrip concludes with a matchup vs. the Brooklyn Nets. The Hawks will be looking to avoid a three-game losing streaking after dropping games to the Oklahoma City Thunder and New York Knicks earlier this week.

The Hawks will be down at least two starters in this matchup following Dejounte Murray’s injury on Wednesday night in Madison Square Garden. Atlanta did not look good without their starting two guard, losing to the Knicks in ugly fashion. Much pressure will be on Trae Young to pick up the slack with the Hawks being short-handed in the backcourt and in terms of scoring overall.

The Nets meanwhile have began to find their footing a bit of late, winning seven of their last ten games overall. Brooklyn also appears to be very healthy coming into Friday’s matchup, which is something the Hawks obviously won’t be able to say for at least a couple more weeks. The Nets have a +3.8 net rating over their past ten games, which is ninth best in the NBA over that span. Atlanta, who is 4-6 in their last ten, has a -3.0 net rating over the same span.

Trae just did a pass to Clint on the board, and they count it as a missed shot and rebound for Clint. It was clearly an assist
Should have 31/10 by now, but the thing hurting ATL is his 7 turnovers

EDIT: Trae had the ball to tie the game at 113-113, but did a 8th TO

113-116 and BKN missed 2 threes, but got 2 offensive rebounds: insane, all Hawks under the basket for a 3pts shot, a thing I've seen 2000 times... can't they understand that most missed 3pts shots will rebounds far away from the basket. You let one guy near, and other move at 15 feet

As important as CCis to us defensively, he is a liability on offense due to his limited finishing, mediocre catch radius and sub par FT shooting.

We gotta get Collins more involved when he returns.

Bogi finishes with 31pts at 12/18 including 7/9 at 3pts. Best Plus/Minus with

And he's supposed to be on potential trade rumors... what a joke

I think I will stop watching games because the Ws were almost only when I missed it

I look at the names on this list, then the names out for ATL. Hawks really do have a nice 8 moan rotation. Their struggles come down to mediocre coaching, bad shooting and Trae's stubbornness (selfishness?). If they get a backup PF who can shoot threes, they have a well rounded bench, too.

The bridge between JJ and KD was just too great. Idk if the moment was too big for him. Then again, injuries forced him onto that assignment. Kyrie just dismantled any guard that was in front of him. I'm far more worried about the defense than offense for this team.

I'm ready for us to cash in some of the young talent to upgrade the frontcourt. I wish we could make a move for Anthony Davis.

I will settle for acquiring Pascal Siakam and Thaddeus Young.
