Fultz had ok game but lets not pretend he was great. Thats low end starter performance and it was one of his best games. Next game he goes 0/4 from 3 and our offense will have tough time. Yes our team runs better with him instead of Anthony but thats not saying much. We are real backcourt away from being a decent team. Thats exciting.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

He was really good though. Obviously Im not sold on him knocking down those spot up consistently. However if he can he's absolutely a starter. He didn't run the offense perfectly but its sure looks alot better now that he's back.zaymon wrote:Fultz had ok game but lets not pretend he was great. Im in the minority but Im still not giving up on our current backcourt. They haven't played together cause of injuries. Suggs was starting to shoot it better before he got hurt. And we know he can bring it defensivly. Despite the usual blind Cole Anthony hate around here he played a good game. Played well last game as well. Lets wait till Suggs gets back before we assume these 3 cant work.

Also, I’d better not see anyone in the General Board tonight reviving sophomore comparison threads! You know who you are. This is just another game for Franz.
I actually went to the GB to see if anyone mentoned it
Everyone held their water except basketballRob. All good, let people have their fun I guess.

I don't see it. And the stats back me up. The offensive rating with Fultz on the court so far this season is 104.5, which would be dead last in the league. And he plays almost all of his minutes with at least two of our three top scorers. The offensive rating without him is 108.5 in the 6 games since he came back and 109.4 for the season. Still far from great, but quite a bit better. Small sample size, of course, but that's what we have so far.

We might only 20-something games this year. But, I believe we might have a duo in Wagner and Banchero with Tatum-Brown potential. And that keeps me warm at night.

We have more similarities to Boston than just our wing/forward rotation. Suggs is weirdly similar to Smart and Carter to Horford. Gary Harris could perform in similar role to Derrick White. Its very interesting when you think about it. I would also look at New Orleans as a blueprint. Scorer like McCollum is really important and you can still play great defense with one weaker link.

When he can knock corner 3s and hold his own defensively, Fultz can play George Hill role in lineup with Franz and Paolo. Trouble is that it happens once in a blue moon.

Both the Spurs and the Magic are on 2-game winning streaks. Wow.
