We got better roster. JV and Kokoskov better not let us down.

The hole is Tatum can’t handle pressure in big game situations. Him deferring to Brown won’t help them; the Celtics-Warriors reminded me how awful the Celtics were two years ago. I have a feeling they are gonna lose more games and fall down. I hope that happens and their fanbase goes to sleep.

• They took a gamble on Brogdan because GP2 abused White and was shutting down Marcus Shart at guard. They lack playmaking at guard. Pritchard is unplayable liability.
• Tatum IS SOFT PUNK. once you start putting pressure on him he will become mediocre. Happened vs us last game, happened last year and GSW did it again last night.
• AL and Blake washed up, TimeTrash is brittle as it gets. If he's not hurt he's limping around.

If legit teams like us, GSW, Bucks and Miami ( with healthy Dipo ) will start poking these holes, Saltics will fold. JB is to streaky and not much of a playmaker to get them over their deficiencies.

They Brad Stevens led team with soft mentality like himself. Ime did wonders for them last year, they going to miss him soon when games will really matter. They had lots of things that went their way early in a season. Soft schedule, injuries etc, later in a season teams will start testing them because most of them will be in a PO.

They've beaten us 5 games in a row. Let's see if we can actually beat them before being overconfident. Brogdan's size gave us trouble, and for all the talk about Tatum he has consistently embarrassed Durant.

With KD it’s all mental. He shifted from team ball to ISO which is what Boston saw last year and had an easy time stopping it. This year, it’s different. The Nets were too assertive and it hurt them: they can’t resort to old habits. KD will get his against Tatum, and Tatum gets humiliated far more than KD. Look at what the Warriors did to him yesterday and in the finals. Nets gotta use the same blueprint and get in their heads

Great win. JV has been fantastic so far

When the entire roster is out there the depth is not only good but it's playoff caliber.

You have KD, Simmons, O'Neale, Yuta, and Warren as wings.

KI, Curry, and Harris at guard.

Claxton at center who can protect the rim and is essentially a wing defensively.

That is a very solid 9 player rotation that is perfect for playoff basketball. I think if the team could turn some of the guard depth into a bench wing and back up center that would help to just get through the regular season.

Edwards had some good plays defensively. If there isn't a bench wing added, wouldn't be surprised if he eventually gets into the extended rotation (i.e. plays when some of the other forwards are out instead of going guard heavy) down the road.

Overall I do not think Kessler and Duke had good games but they had some important plays nevertheless. And they both brought high energy. Really though how much could we expect from guys who hardly get anytime. Proud of all of them.

RIP Paul Silas

Cripes. I remember the time when the consensus was that he'd be really good player if he only could get out from playing behind Bill Bridges with the old St. Louis Hawks. Of course, he went on to have a great career. Sad news. :-(

Boston will be tough to beat unless we have Simmons playing at his best.

We don't have another elite wing defender to help work on Tatum or Brown.

It's irrelevant what happened last five games vs Saltics. We got different team with different coach.

As I mentioned in Saltic thread, judging this team right now is foolish. This team needs more time. In a matter of few month a lot of things will look much much more different.

Saltics showing all signs of PHX 2.0 team. Very fluky team that got lucky to one time. Got exposed vs true contender.

Banking on Injuries is what Saltic trash does. And they also cheer for them to happen as we know from years past. That trash that calling themselves fans over there will never have my respect. I will cheer for them to get hurt and implode in any way its possible.

Our problem isn't KD in that instance, the lineup was Kyrie/Seth/Joe Harris/Royce O'Neal/KD

Replace KD with Gobert and that lineup still can't guard anyone. Smart money says if you can't guard anyone anyway, you might as well gamble and hope for a steal.

Sure, don’t really watch the Nets games but follow them somewhat because I remain a big KD fan, and to a lesser extent because as an Australian NBA fan I wouldn’t mind seeing something of a Simmons redemption arc.

I think we both agree on what I said originally, he can be useful defensively even playing center (as you say with an appropriate roster) in the play-offs, but shouldn’t be banging too much with the remaining true center sized players in the regular season.

Agreed, I'm fully behind Ben as we absolutely need him performing at his best if we're any chance of making some noise in the playoffs, and if we want KD to be put in a position to succeed on D Ben being at his best is a prerequisite of that.

KD is at his best when he's just balling, I think making him the floor general is taking away from his actual strengths, I really thought if we traded him to the Suns he'd thrive with CP3 controlling things and KD being the ultimate cheat code 2 way menace.

KD's performed his best when Harden was on our team, even a gimpy Harden helped him since it took the playmaking duties out of his hands. Ben isn't the same level of half court playmaker as Harden but I absolutely rather get the ball into Ben's hands and let 7/11 just cook as scorers primarily, to think if we had even a 38 year old JKidd I think we'd be instant contenders.

I had pretty much given up on him, but theoretically at least at his best he should complement KD and Kyrie well.

That was a great trade showcase game. Hopefully this game will bamboozle teams into making a bad trade.
