My names Calvin

I currently live in London, UK. I’ve lived here all my life so far, I’m 31 years old.

Currently I’m working as an operations manager for a start up FinTech company, which gives me the luxury of WFH. I have a background in playing sports, mainly football(soccer) and I also played a bit of basketball in school. However I wanted to take up football seriously, didn’t quite work out due to injuries and my desire weren’t there anymore. Lol.

Currently living with my girlfriend and our 3 cats, planning to travel majority of the world.

I first got introduced to Orlando Magic when I was 9, my dad used to record games on I think channel 4 in the 90s in London. I then came back from school and watched the game where Shaq obliterated the backboard lol, being an impressionable child that obviously made me go into school the next day and tell everyone how amazing this person is.(Baring in mind this happened 6 years later lol).

Since then, Orlando has stuck with me. I’ve watched them in London when we played the raptors, I met Vuc when I was working in central London. I’ve also met Scottie Pippen at my old job, he came in as a VIP and we got talking. He seemed a decent guy.

Been an Orlando fan since I started watching the NBA 4/5 years ago. My best friend is an OKC fan and he gave me a summary of the NBA teams. I thought Orlando sounded interesting, weren't a particular popular choice and I liked the uniforms, not much more to it than that.

I lived in England for most of my life, but moved to Sweden in August 2021 to start working as a teacher. One of the benefits of my job is the silent nodding whenever of of my students points out to me that we lost by 30 points again. Became involved in the basketball team at my school at the beginning of this academic year and I'm really enjoying it so far.

Living in Sweden means I don't watch nearly as many games as I'd like to (I'd prefer to have more than 3 hours of sleep when surrounded by teenagers all day) but I love to watch and contribute here whenever I get the chance.

Born in China and came to the US in 2006 with my parents
Live in Lakeland, FL
Went to UCF in 2011 after graduated from Community College, graduated with Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering in 2013
Was a die hard Houston Rockets Fan because of Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady. Then when Jeremy Lin signed with Rockets, I remain a fan.
Became Orlando Magic fan during Dwightmare. Follow the rebuild since then when Magic hired Rob Hennigan. I am a die hard UCF Basketball fan also. And became a loyal fan of Magic because of City of Orlando, or UCF
Tbh, I am excited about this current Orlando Magic rebuild. Was furious when Magic traded Nikola Vucevic. But when we got Wendell and Franz, I was OKay, not really but happy.
I play Basketball myself and worked with UCF Athletic department when I was a junior and senior in College. Went to Basketball try out twice. But never made the team. Tried the route of Division II or III, but never came to fruition.
I love Basketball. Even though I am not good enough to make it to the pros. I keep practicing everyday.

Location - Orlando, Fl. Born here then left for about 20 years and recently moved back.

Occupations - Teacher

Reason I follow the Magic - My dad took me to the first magic game ever in Orlando and then had a few tickets each season he would get from work as I was growing up. He would get to pick 4 tickets a season and he'd ask us the night before the picks were put in at work who we wanted to see. We still go to a game every year when both of us are in Orlando. Now I have kids and I take them to a game every year.

I used to post here a lot when my kids were little and slept a lot and didn't need to be driven everywhere all the time, now I have no time and a real job.


btw Šibenik is such a pretty city and Croatia is amazing place with great people.

Originally from Michigan but ended up in Florida when I exited the Navy. Flew Helicopters during the Gulf War and moved to Florida when I exited in 94. Went back to Embry-Riddle right after my exit to do some aviation related course work but changed careers all together. The airline pipeline was almost a decade after mergers, and I didn't want to wait that long in a career that paid very little in the interim. Professionally I'm a business consultant for Fortune 500 Co's in the healthcare/risk management space.

Became a magic fan after my move to FL in 94 during the Shaq/Penny era living in Winter Park, Lake Mary then finally settling in Longwood. Moved to Dallas about 10 years ago for work however I'm still a diehard Magic fan even though we have Luka here. The Magic will always be my team.
