Duren has looked pretty meh almost all season. Can definitely see him going 20 and 10 to piss this fanbase off even more.

I've only boxscore watched, but seems his role as of today is simply to rebound, which he's obviously killing.Liver_Pooty wrote:Duren has looked pretty meh almost all season. Can definitely see him going 20 and 10 to piss this fanbase off even more.

Yeah he'll always be good in that department based off physical tools alone

In the moment, I always root for a win. Big picture though, yeah I want to finish with worst record more than I want to see us make the play in. Now if we could get healthy and finish top six due to a miracle last 40 gms... then give me all of that.SWedd523 wrote:

Amen - my fandom is at its nadir. The team is just a directionless mess that isn't very fun to watch. A direct inject of Wemby might resuscitate me, but, for now, struggling to to find any reason to actually tune into games.

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Pistons 12/14 7PM
The Charlotte Hornets have struggled in recent years, failing to make the playoffs since the 2016-2017 season. In order to rebuild their team and become contenders again, they should consider tanking for the highly-touted prospect, Victor Wembanyama.
Wembanyama is a 7-foot-3-inch center from France who has been dominating the junior ranks in Europe. He has exceptional size and length, as well as a versatile skill set that allows him to score in a variety of ways. He is an excellent rim protector and has shown the ability to hit outside shots, making him a potential matchup nightmare for opposing teams.
Tanking for Wembanyama would involve the Hornets intentionally losing games in order to improve their chances of getting a high draft pick. This strategy has been used by several teams in the past, and while it may not be popular with fans, it can be an effective way to rebuild a struggling franchise.
In the short term, tanking would likely result in the Hornets being one of the worst teams in the league. However, in the long term, it could pay off by giving them a chance to draft a player like Wembanyama who could become the cornerstone of their franchise.
If the Hornets are able to land Wembanyama, they would have a talented young center to build around. He would join a young core that already includes players like Devonte' Graham and Miles Bridges, giving the team a strong foundation for the future.
In conclusion, tanking for Victor Wembanyama may not be the most popular decision, but it could be the best decision for the long-term success of the Charlotte Hornets. By intentionally losing games, they could improve their chances of drafting a player who has the potential to become a star and help the team return to contention.

I don't know if any of you are following this AI technology, but the above was written for me in one minute. I told it to write me a 6 paragraph post on why the Hornets should tank.

It's cool that it can write cohesive essays but there's a lot wrong there lol
I did a similar one for just Mason Plumlee...
write 6 paragraphs on Mason Plumlee's tenure with the Charlotte Hornets
Mason Plumlee has been with the Charlotte Hornets since the 2019-2020 season. Prior to joining the Hornets, he played for the Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Denver Nuggets.
Plumlee has been a valuable contributor for the Hornets, providing valuable minutes off the bench as a versatile big man. He has displayed a strong work ethic and hustle on the court, consistently giving his all in every game. His ability to grab rebounds and push the pace in transition has helped the Hornets maintain a balanced attack on offense.
In the 2019-2020 season, Plumlee averaged 7.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game for the Hornets. He shot 59.3% from the field, showcasing his efficiency as a finisher around the rim. He also provided valuable defense, using his length and quickness to disrupt opposing offenses.
The following season, in 2020-2021, Plumlee continued to thrive for the Hornets. He averaged 7.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, and shot a career-high 67.4% from the field. His efforts on the court earned him a spot on the NBA All-Defensive Second Team, recognizing his impact on the defensive end of the floor.
Overall, Plumlee has been a valuable asset for the Hornets and has played an important role in the team's success. His versatility and ability to impact the game in a variety of ways make him an important piece for the Hornets moving forward.
In addition to his on-court contributions, Plumlee has also been active in the community during his time with the Hornets. He has participated in various events and initiatives, including the Hornets annual backpack giveaway and the team's literacy program. He has also been involved in the Hornets PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) program, which seeks to promote healthy lifestyles for children in the Charlotte area.
The facts could improve but damn

This is just early hours. 1 year from now, it will be scary. Wait until it inserts hot takes.
I asked it to give me specials and soups ideas this morning and it churned out a neverending list.
I feel bad for high school teachers. You can tell it to write a 1000 word book report and it's not plagiarized. you can insert your entire essay and it will correct grammar and spelling....

More OpenAI fun
As LaMelo launched from half court
Eric Collins was full of support
He yelled with such glee
As the ball fell through the hoop with ease
And the crowd erupted with a roar so short.

Re: GT: Charlotte vs Pistons 12/14 7PM
Oh my GOD
"write a sonnet about how bad the Charlotte Hornets have been over the last 5 years"
In Charlotte, Hornets once flew with pride,
A team with strength and skill, feared far and wide.
But now, alas, their wings have been clipped,
A five year slump has left them dipsomaniac.
Their record poor, their play a sad, sad sight,
No hope for playoffs, just a lackluster fight.
Gone are the days of Kemba and Big Al,
Now just a shell of their former glory, they fall.
Fans once filled the stands with passion and cheer,
Now they sit in silence, a sea of fear.
Ownership uncertain, future unclear,
The Hornets' downfall, a tragedy to hear.
But hope remains, a glimmer in the dark,
With hard work and determination, they'll make their mark.

AI is probably going to wreck certain industries. The robots are taking over.
