I would take out Messi and anyone that has a yellow.

I'd go with Modric.

Congrats to Argentina, I hope they get the same referee treatment in the finals that we got today. That penalty call absolutely ruined the match.

That was a clear penalty. Arguably a red. Get over it.

Even though I expect Argentina to beat Croatia I have no doubt that Modric (37yo) will be far more influential than Messi (35yo) in the match. Modric is what Messi-fans imagine he is.

I’m expecting Modric to be more influential any moment now.

This Argentina team has something they haven't had in ages. Actual heart and character. Everyone is going to war. It's very dependent on Messi to create and i dont think it'll work against France if we face them. But im extremely proud of this team. I had them going out in the quarter finals. Absolutely insane.

I get why he's saying that though. Modric against Brazil was dominating the midfield. I for sure thought that trio of midfielders Croatia had would make it incredibly hard for Argentina to control the mid. And for a good 30-35 minutes that is what it looked like. Croatia was controlling the ball and tempo.

Difference is we had Messi.

He can out towel wave him in the sidelines.

for sure but Croatia completely collapsed after that call, who knows what would've happened if it was never called.

It should have been Arg-BRA to be honest. But i've always loved Croatia's talent. Easily the most talented midfielders produced in the world. GG Croatia.
