Everyone’s moving the ball around and not forcing things. First third of the season is just garbage. Now everyone is starting to show their true colors.

Mattisse is the best wing we have with athleticism and 3&D potential. I would start him instead pops but Doc need to atleast get him regular mins.

This is a good win against a team currently in the playoff picture out west. I'm so happy for Thybulle. He really got it going tonight. More of that. Bench was good too.

Kings is a gimmick until they run double big with Holmes-Sabonis. But kings want to just be fun and make the playoffs.

I still dont buy how we’re that good on defense and yet be very bad at rebounding.

I think it might keep getting worse. The games without Harden and Maxey had us as the best defensive team during that stretch. Things are averaging out.

True. But I think our schemes on defense has improved.

I wouldnt be surprised if we slide Maxey to play off the bench.

I'll be very disappointed in Doc if he doesn't at least lessen both Maxey and Harden's minutes when the team gets healthy to get more defense out there from Melton and Thybulle and maybe lessen Tucker too.

It's not super important that they're a top 5 defense if they're good enough and truly get their offense going... And win a lot.

Harden playing free safety on defense last night helped a ton

The issue is we're dropping in Drtg and net rating since Harden came back, basically because our defense is what was keeping us alive before. We were also playing some bad teams.

Doc needs to find a balance where we don't fall off the top 10 in defense but our offense improves.

I think Maxey coming from the bench solves both issues as it means not pairing him with Harden on the wings while also improving our bench scoring, i would advocate not only Maxey coming from the bench but staggering him with Harden

I heard on a podcast the 76ers have been extremely lucky at opponents shooting luck so far. Teams are hitting an unusually low 3PT% against us so far this season, that's why the defensive stats are inflated.

Am I the only one that thinks Maxey should come off the bench going forward? With all the high quality PG's in the league this days, we need a defender at the 1 and Melton does the trick. He syncs up great with Harden on offense, and helps cover his defensive liabilities. Tobias has been great as a 3rd option. Maxey can come in off the bench as a spark plug, still playing 30+ MPG and helps space out the minutes from our 4 top scorers (Embiid, Harden, Tobias, Maxey).

Really hoping we do that. I don’t think we’ll go very far with Maxey and Harden playing 30 mpg together. More Melton and Thybulle please. Maxey is definitely crucial to our spacing and shot-creation though.

Harden(33)/Maxey(15)
Melton(28)/Maxey(12)/Thybulle(8)
Tucker(12)/Niang(24)/Thybulle(12)
Harris(33)/Tucker(15)
Embiid(33)/Harrell(15)

You just need to look at yesterday's game, the Kings were getting open shots every time they wanted and still shot 23% from 3.

Still i think is better to give open 3 than opening the lane, i hope this is by design.

U want Maxey to play only 27 min a game? Were better off with
Maxey
Melton
Harden
Harris
Embiid
Let Tucker play only 15 to 20 minutes, we don't need him till playoffs anyway. And Shake and Reed need minutes too

There's not enough minutes for him if he's coming off the bench and being staggered with Harden though.

They already were being staggered over the course of the game, so I guess the question is who you want on the floor with them while they're out there together.

Although maybe it's just less of a concern having them out there defensively if it's not against the opposing team's starters.

I don't know. I think our lineup makes more sense with Melton, and I think Maxey's game is suited perfectly to be an elite bench scorer... but you absolutely want him on the floor for a lot of minutes, and the fit in the non-Embiid Harden lineups is a bit tricky. I guess you could do something like: Maxey-Melton-Harden-Tucker-Reed in those minutes.

Yea. Maxey is a huge defensive liability, especially next to Harden.

Its just a simple math.

Now that we’re about to replace Melton for Maxey. How will you compensate for it on defense? Melton has been one of the league’s best defender.

Agree we should start Melton. Maxey can still get 30mpg off the bench and should really light up opposing bench players.

Maxey should come off the bench for 30 mpg, and will have to share the floor with Harden for 12 mpg, and during those overlap times the lineup should also include Melton, Tucker, and Embiid.
