Good team, but the end 80's/early 90's Milan team had that FANTASTIC Netherlands trio (Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard), with Baresi, the ageless Maldini, Costacurta, etc, etc, etc.

That team won A LOT between 1988 and 1990.

Check the team and what it won in this link.

BTW: definitely recommended site, worth a look.

no need for any website, those years i was living 15 minutes away from baresi's house in milan lol

unchartered territory for morocco, lets see how they respond.

lmao, they'd get cooked on the wings.

Good team, but I think I'd trade at least half of it for better players.

N'Kono as as goalkeeper is a joke, when you have Yashin or even Gordon Banks as available options.

Also, Beckham in the S11 is a bad, bad joke.

This. My hope was Morocco Greecing or Italying their way to a WC.

Luckily Morocco gives me glimpses of Italy. And they had some come back games.

Reminder that Poch once played Son as a left back in an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea and he, predictably, got absolutely cooked defensively and gave away a penalty.

But his worst tactical blunder was playing the ineffable Harry Winks as a holding defensive midfielder in a diamond against Bayern. That ended well.

Another terrible defensive error. Giroud nails the post

This sub is either gonna make the coach look like an idiot or a genius.

Also, not sure why he didn't communicate his injury better pre-game? Maybe it was re-injured?

But it reminded me of last World Cup when the Croatia keeper played injured and costed some goals.

Obviously, Morocco will have to play a totally different game then they are used to.

France puts a lot of pressure in the defense... they play fast and always go for the jugular, without too much beating around the bush with the passing... the way futebol is supposed to be played, IMO.

Now if Marrocos tries to open up the game and recover the prejudice, they are in a "sinuca de bico" (can't really translate that, lol)... if they stay the same, France will come and get them; if they go for it, France will wait and go for the kill as well.

Chess move, my friend!

well that explains a lot. it is not like he doesnt have options here, he can choose from 70+ years of football history. and laudrup didnt have to be there, you can easily find a place for zidane in more central position. maybe he confused it with euro cup all time eleven.

Not sure how that is a yellow card.

Morocco has most of the possession, but it's not doing them any good. This is why I felt more confident in a 70/30 game, with Morocco holding 30% lol.

That's out the window and Morocco gonna have to show us something we've haven't seen from them yet.

These past 2 games France has looked beatable. I think Argentina will have a solid chance to win.
