That's out the window and Morocco gonna have to show us something we've haven't seen from them yet.

Morocco has been used to being the counter attacking side and France are happy to allow them to have the ball, it’s probably caught them a bit off guard.

unchartered territory for morocco, lets see how they respond.

Come on, now you'll be forced to tell us some anecdotes from that time frame!

unfortunately details are hazy since i was 5 and 6 years old, but i do remember my dads drunk friends coming home after a milan game and trying to make me sing some italian song and me crying uncontrollaby since i was barely able to string together few sentences in my native tongue let alone italian. that and my mom found and probably still finds van basten very handsome, surprisingly more than maldini.

But his worst tactical blunder was playing the ineffable Harry Winks as a holding defensive midfielder in a diamond against Bayern. That ended well.

well that explains a lot. it is not like he doesnt have options here, he can choose from 70+ years of football history. and laudrup didnt have to be there, you can easily find a place for zidane in more central position. maybe he confused it with euro cup all time eleven.

Here's FIFA World Cup All-Time Team: link

Lev Yashin (Soviet Union)
Djalma Santos (Brazil) / Franz Beckenbauer (West Germany) / Bobby Moore (England) / Paul Breitner (West Germany)
Johan Cruyff (Netherlands) / Michel Platini (France) / Bobby Charlton (England)
Garrincha (Brazil) / Pelé (Brazil) / Ferenc Puskás (Hungary/Spain)

Strangely enough, the list was made in 1994 but there was only ONE player who played in 1986 or later (Platini).

Obviously the list would be WAY different if made today... but not COMPLETELY different, from my point of view at least half of this team would be the same.

IMO it's the contrary, France has been the best team in the tournament from start till now, while Argentina, while on a crescendo, are still too dependable on Messi's brilliance.

France look too good, NGL

Hopefully Morocco can get through this half without conceding another. And maybe they figure something else out in the lockers.

France making it seem like this is a done deal, but a second goal sooner than later is crucial. Almost feel like they’re a little too relaxed in Morocco’s box

Don’t get me wrong France is still the team to beat, but they haven’t looked like world beaters the last two games. England had their chances and Morocco is showing they have some open spaces in the back half that could be exposed under the right circumstances.

I think Lloris actually saved that on to the post. What an effort that was.
