Maxey rivals Trae Young when it comes to defensive capabilities, it will be interesting to see who is the bigger traffic cone by the end of the season.

So you stop staggering Embiid and Harden then?

Embiid needs Harden with him at all times . Them two are two of the best foul getters in the league and can't think of a better two man game.
Maxey , shake, Thybulle, Niang and Reed lead bench with Harrell,House and Korkmas as reserves.
Melton , Tucker and Tobias should start with harden and Embiid.

Yep. More important to stagger Maxey and Harden. Harden and Jo have to co-exist IMO.
But if you really wanted to, you could limit Jo’s time with Harden to those same 12 minutes.

Not if Maxey isn't starting.
I think a lot of people here are doing oversimplified math and ignoring how those substitution patterns would actually work. NBA2k's rotation timeline is helpful for visualizing/breaking down what you'd like to see done.

The Sixers had a 121.5 ORTG and a 103.8 DRTG in the 464 regular season minutes Maxey, Harden, Harris and Embiid played together last year.
They didn't look nearly as good to start the year, but that was with a **** Embiid and Harden trying to be Rockets Harden.

Because they had Thybulle. They look even better this year when they start Thybulle with Tucker instead of Melton and without Harden/Maxey defensively.
However, it's very easy for us to say. I've posted about it recently. The money and stars (I include that for Maxey, who will soon get the money) are getting the minutes. They didn't just tamper for even House because they wanted him.... They also did it to make Harden happy... And Joel. This is more a decision for Morey and the stars
But, they can start Maxey and sub him or James out early. That's why I said lessen both their minutes for Melton and Thybulle. Plus less PJ would be nice. I don't think they're going to 6th man Maxey, even if it's the right move... and it is.
This team has a lot of depth, but it doesn't all fit together. Though there are strong combinations that work if they sacrifice.
I'd say it's time for Morey to consolidate
