Just watched Amen Thompson highlights, goodness, that dude is explosive, tremendous court vision. Apparently, he can't shoot, but his form is okay, he gets that in his game, look out.

Maaaaybe in the 2nd rd...I know he was somewhat a standout at BWB but I don't see anything particularily special about him athletically, physically or skillwise but he can probably be a solid player. I'm sure we're also keeping eyes on Adem Bona & James Nnaji as well especially with just a single year left on Birch's contract for some level of C depth.
He's special athletically and physically. He's basically a guard version of Giannis size wise. Not saying he'll be Giannis, but to say there's nothing special about him is ludicrous.

He looks like he could be like Matisse Thybulle, that can shoot the 3 a bit better as he's shooting 39% from the NBL 3.

I still prefer Sidy Cissoko that might be as good defensively but be a playmaker on offense and eventually start at SG.

I want to trade Trent and filler for a player and a 1st pick to draft Cissoko.

I like what I see from Rupert and Poeltl fills a need, but who scores on this team besides Siakam? Who creates advantages and gets to the rim besides Pascal? This would be an interesting team to watch on defence , but offence would be such a slog. Other teams would pack the paint, force us into long jumpers, and take away the possession advantage that fuels whatever pitiful offense we manage at the moment.

We need scoring on this team

Full game for you to draw your own conclusions. He's Number 4 on NBA Academy. 6'7" with a 7'2" wingspan. Point guard.

Tyrell Terry just retired after 2 years at attempting to make it after being drafted at #31. Any way to improve psych screening to red flag Terry and Primo?

Maybe with the 2nd rounder. Likely undrafted and just offer him a contract.

More turnovers than assists, he's not a PG. Maybe he's the SG version of Bruno Caboblo.

How deep is this draft when it comes to all-star potential players?

I would say the draft drops off after pick 13 or so. There are still a whole bunch of intriguing prospects after that, but they either come with significant question marks or profile more as role players. The Top 3-4 have super star potential IMO (Wemby, Scoot, Amen, Cam, and maybe Ausar)

That is a really good question. Potential all-stars for the first 13 and possibly top 20 depending on the player and the situation he gets drafted into. However we can draft all-star caliber player with our first pick and a rotational player with our second pick (for instance this draft might be so good we can get Amari Bailey in the second round or even Leonard MIller). Plus in the off-season we can sign one of the talented players that falls or an African guard. At least 2 -3 rotational players won't be here next year and this team will look real young and talented if we don't get itchy fingers and try to win now.

I would take Reece Beekman as our bulldog PG over Flynn. His stock is 2.12!!! Assist to turnover is 4.6 to 1.6! 47% on 3s with low volume. He's not sexy and he's not a great scorer but he's an amazing defender who can create movement in the offense. Maybe another Malcolm Brogdon.

Enjoy a game with Beekman, Howard and Dickinson. Fun

I think teams knew about Terry. That is why he dropped in hindsight.

Tired of the Nic Claxton's of the league dominating our team? Want a change but don't know what to do? I have the solution for you:

I think he'll go early 2nd, so if we end up with the 45th pick or so we can probably trade a future 2nd to get up to like 35 and grab him.

orlando is gonna be hella stacked with talent after this draft my goodness, most likely two picks in the top 9.

We're only 3.5 games back of them for fifth seed in the Wembanyama sweepstakes.

Still need to see progression through conference matchups

https://cbbreview.com/2022/12/16/zach-edeys-dominance-continues-to-grow/

"Edey has had 25 hooks over his (left) shoulder for 1.29 PPP and 11 drop steps for 1.18 PPP. Both are top tier numbers." For context, 3 pt shots at 33.3% are 1.00 PPP. Anything above 1 is considered good. The quote is referencing shots he can get in NBA no matter who is guarding him because of his size. Its the exact same shot for him as in college.

"Per Kenpom, Edey is drawing 7.6 fouls per 40 minutes, the 12th-highest rate in the country."

"Only 29.5% of Purdue’s opponents shots have been at the rim. There is only one teams in all of D1 with a lower percentage of opponent shots coming at the rim (Villanova)." Blocked shots are just one measure, rim intimidation is the most important aspect though.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.
