I actually just commented on this, but he was in the poll until a couple weeks ago and had 1 total vote. I agree he should be there but who would you take out?
The players worse than him, which is most of that list at least.

Ok well I was asking a genuine question. It's legit hard to choose these candidates, things change constantly as far as who is playing the best at a given moment, and I'm not taking all of them out and just putting KD obviously. So I still don't know how to solve your problem.

Tatum shouldn't lead any list and Jokic shouldn't be on any list for the MVP trophy this season.

Lol at Giannis gaining 3 votes after his team got blown out by 40 last night. Some people have weird criteria for MVP lol

Not going to lie, I would love to see Tatum win it and if it ended today I wouldnt be upset if he did. But ya every time I watch Jokic play I come away thinking the same thing each time, "that is the best player in the game and he impacts the game more than anyone else."

If he keeps doing what he's doing and Denver ends up being a top 3 seed, he would get my vote for MVP if I had one. Dont really care if he is a back 2 back MVP winner, I think so far he's having his most impressive season so far.

So tell us when did Jokic refuse you an autograph?

I have a friend who pronounces Tatum's name the same way as Batum's name, except with a T, and it irritates me to no end.

Jokic and Giannis are the two best players in the league, I’d say Steph is just behind them. After that, it gets real close, I wouldn’t fight with any of Durant, Tatum, Luka, or Embiid.

While it would be cool for Tatum to win, I don’t really care lol. I just like that the Celtics have a player who is a deserving MVP candidate, because realistically, you aren’t winning a title otherwise.

Started out as a race between Luka and Giannis and now I'm thinking Jokic is once again having the best season so far. Swapped my vote to Jokic.

The poll is set up so people are able to change their vote. So I don't see the need for a totally new poll until the thread gets to 100 pages and we make a new one.

Yeah, but most don't bother coming and changing their votes. It's convenient, but rarely happens.

Giannis by no means is the top MVP candidate at the moment.

Last year the changes were made every time a thread got to 100 pages (IIRC you even started some immediately after 100  ) - that's a good amount of new threads / poll resets.

Also, Giannis has his team at 2nd best record in the entire NBA while putting up 31/11/9...and those MVP odds you loved to quote last year...they have him at #2 currently...

Yeah I remember, just suggesting a possible change. All good if they want to leave it as is. Eh, Giannis is incredible, but he's not as efficient as he was last year. There is a clear drop off.

Ya you got a 24 year old who is at least mentioned in the MVP discussions in back 2 back years (this one much more serious than last year, but still got votes). So in other words, your franchise is pretty set haha.

Not top-10 in the MVP leaderboard Donovan Mitchell with yet another late game takeover to get his team a game they had no business winning. :D

It’s got to be Steph right? His team is a legit title contender with him and likely a bottom 3 team in the league without him. It’s going to be shocking if my Warriors can sneak out any victories without him.

Jokic team would need 60 wins for him to given mvp consideration.

LeBron James never won 3 straight mvp and we all know they screwed him over a few times. It’s just mvp fatigue.

It’s hard for me to have Tatum in the conversation. He doesn’t impact the team. I think if Boston is 62-64 wins and bucks are 57-58 wins. Denver at 58 wins. Giannis will be given the mvp over Tatum and Jokic.

jokic not winning mvp . his team isnt good enough defensively and he gives up way too much on that end. Thomas Bryant getting to him tonight with no AD. Tatum my favorite right now.

By this logic, its hard to argue Steph over Luka? You don't think the remaining Warriors cast is worse than Mavs' remaining, do you?

I don’t think the Mavs have won a chip recently with Luka leading them have they? It’s disrespectful putting him in the Curry convo when he’s still aiming to even do what Harden did.

I was hoping Jokic would try to reclaim the top spot with a win over the Lakers but he played poorly and the Nuggets got embarrassed, it was a nationally televised game and that's probably going to hurt him until the next nationally televised game.

The Bucks got blown out by 40 points, and that loss is really bad on Giannis (who was -29), there's just no way around it. It definitely hurt his position.

With the way Tatum and Embiid have been playing, it's probably now:

1. Tatum
2. Embiid
3. the rest

Tatum gets the nod for consistency.
