Is it because of his breakout this year or the same for you last year?

I love watching Shai since his Clippers days, he's such a smooth, aesthetically pleasing player to watch.

Of course he wasn't that good early on, but at this point I think the only concern I have with him is to see him in the postseason environment in game-planning situations. His skillset is absolutely ridiculous though.

WIth Trae, his size and lack of defensive chops seem to be a problem that will not be fixed. SGA won't be as individually dominant offensively most likely but seems a much easier fit on a good team looking to win a title.

Crazy, how a year can change things so quickly. The strides SGA has made should make him MIP

Pretty much this, also his postseason last year was all-time bad which doesn't help any.

I don't think Shai brings the ability to take as heliocentric and directly-involving-others role as Trae, but I would like SGA right now with the better defense (there's a considerable gap between being somewhat of a + with good instincts to tap into opposed to Trae being arguably the worst defender in the league) and scoring that feels like it can puncture elite defenses from inside 16 feet more-so then Trae's high volume 3-Point game. Going forward, would stick with the same feeling

I'm taking Trae and I think I could build a better team around him and a pick a coach that will create an offense that will not leave 4 people standing and watching him dribble.

A lot of the woes that Trae has is due to terrible coaching and roster construction.

Trae can't be the best player on a team but he has the ability to carry offense that a handful of players have.

However if I have to pick a player to be my best player out of the two, I would pick SGA. SGA is bigger, a better defender and he isn't the creator Trae is, but I think he fits the Kobe archetype of a high scoring SG that can function as a secondary playmaker.
