Usually I'd say that the regular season means nothing, defense goes up a notch in the playoffs, you can game-plan over a 7-game series, etc. But man, the Suns just can't hang with this Pelicans team. They need to avoid that playoff matchup at all costs.

Tbf, they’ve been missing either CP3, Booker or Ayton in every single game.

Plus they’ve had both their starting PFs out for basically the entire season.

Pels are gonna be a major problem for any West team in the playoffs if their full rotation is there. Excited to see what they look like when Ingram returns.

Pelicans have been missing their 2nd best player (Ingram) though. They're just too athletic and physical for a mediocre rebounding team with a now shaky defensive back court. Phoenix will be fine in the regular season and get a Top-4 seed, but their playoff weaknesses are on glaring display whenever they play New Orleans.

I feel like the Suns are more of a ‘sum of their parts’ kind of team.

When they have their full lineup, they play much higher than their talent level offensively & defensively.

Just got back from suns Pels. That was a fun one. Zion is as big looking in person as I expected, nothing you can really do once he's going downhill at the rim. Booker was ridiculous, scored 25 in a row when they were looking dead in the water.
