Those guys aren't going to move the needle for the Lakers, particularly because you will still need a healthy AD. Without a healthy AD the Lakers are irrelevant even with that trade.

Exactly. And, I was of the opinion that they weren't needle moving enough, for the high asking price from the Pacers. I was glad that Jeanie passed on that deal. Now, even more so.

No its time to panic. I thought if they developed some more chemistry with this squad their ceiling if everything went perfectly was 6th seed and their basement was bottom play-in team. I think they’re now going to stay exactly where they are in the standings and the only reason they wont go lower is cause of how bad Hou,Okc, and Sas are.

You would hope the Lakers seriously start to think long term about the future and direction of the team going forward. Like possibly trading AD in the future, trading WB now, and end the Lebron experiment after the season. But Pelinka is clueless and I dont know how anyone would have any faith in him whatsoever

This is why you can't assume that Davis and the Lakers didn't benefit from the Covid-19/pandemic stoppage. Davis can't make it through a season without getting hurt, which is why the season is a trial of attrition and AD is not built for that.

AD is built for the pre-season and go straight into the playoffs.....

It sounds like he'll be back this season, though. The idea would be Myles and Buddy help them at least make the play in and AD is hopefully around fora couple months of the regular season to get some familiarity.
