I was never fully onboard with Davis as a centerpiece. As Bron's sidekick it worked for a season (* season) but it hasn't since.

He's not a leader and he's always hurt.

Had he stayed healthy the FO wouldn't have traded him anyway. There is not forward thought there.... just "NOW"! People go Bentley's to pay for man!...

Timing is never good for an injury in a player of AD’s caliber.
This definitely will have an impact on the FO’s thinking.

Without this injury, because the team was playing better and winning, they were likely to just explore fringe role players in the trade market. No point in doing that now.

Now they’re squarely at the crossroads:

1)Go all in and trade the picks, and go after the likes of Turner/Hield, Bogdanovic, Kyrie etc…

2)Or stay pat and wave the white flag.

I’d go for option 2, specially if this is a month long thing. With AD, when they say a month, I think more like 6-8 weeks out.

It’ll be interesting to watch what they do.

This is why I've been saying that we should get a big. A legit C. AD's body can't take the toll. Should have gone for the Turner/Hield trade early this season.

You do option 2, give up and let Lebron lose this season and no superstar in his right mind would dare consider joining the Lakers. James witnessed how they took care of Kobe, overpaid him even though he can no longer bring them a ring. You like Luka, Giannis, heck I even like SGA, but no way they come here if ypu leave the superstar who lead them to a championship hang out to dry just like that.

Don't wish Injuries on anyone, but I'll bet you Bron will go down for at least a week Or he might stay healthy until AD comes back then he goes down, same crap as last year really

I dont think he's out just a month because when your foot feels "weird" or whatever he said, it sounds like something is torn or broken.

Regardless, i think the Lakers are at a crossroads right now and if they dont make a deal for a big man within the next few days, the season is all but over. Sure, they might stay afloat and somehow make it too the play-in, but they could just as easily run Lebron into the ground in the process.

To me the solution is simple: You either go all-in OR all-out. You either belive Lebron/AD can win another title or you dont. In both cases you make moves accordingly.

All-in:
Westy+2 FRP for Myles+Buddy
Westy+2 FRP for Kuz+Porzingis
Westy+1 FRP for Poelt+Josh+Buckets.

And if KD is available for AD, you consider that as well.

all good points but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NO TO PORZINGIS. :banghead: :banghead:
If you think AD is soft then what to you call this guy who played 17,34,51,43 the past 4 years? Last game vs the Lakers, he knew he was struggling from 3 with no AD and he chose to jack up 9 shots from beyond 24 feet. :noway:

None of that makes us better. Brining Kuz, who's scoring 21 a game back to stand in the corner for 22 minutes a game to "spread the floor" for LeBron isn't going to do it. He never fit the Bronfense and the rest of those guys wouldn't either.

All in for me is the long game... let this entire group go.... every one of them and get as much collateral as possible to rebuild. We'd suck but it's actually more entertaining watching younger players try and grow over watching older ones yap about oppression while wearing NIKEs and demonstrate their massive entitlements.

It’s a blessing in disguise, not devastating. Here’s why: https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/defensive-efficiency

Davis or not, ranking 20th in defensive efficiency won’t win you any rings. This forces us to look at our flaws as constructed.

Looking at you Rob. Looking at you Darvin.

The AD injury can maybe help them see…?

I honestly don't see us being contenders again until Bron retires. AD is just going to naturally miss a ton of games, and Lebron is too old to carry us during the regular season like a Durant or Giannis.

Just enjoy the retirement tour while he's here
