I think AD would be perfect for Portland. Ofcourse, as long as he's healthy for the playoffs.

Anyway, sorry Lakers fans. Hope he makes a fast and full recovery.

Like how?

Curious. Thats an unusual thing for someone.

I had 2 open heart surgeries as a child and back then they were still making a giant incision on your chest and cracking your ribcage open to access the heart. So I had a broken ribcage that was tied back together with some chicken wire that's still in there.

Then I broke my wrist when I was younger. Still no idea how or when it even happened. It was bugging me and I went the doctor and it was broken.

Then in my 20's I broke my foot drunkenly dancing around the house, and my arm playing sports.

Then my coup de grace was a few years back my tire blew on the freeway and my car went off the side of the road and about 30 feet down a cliff and landed upside down. Broke my spine in 6 places and my skull and suffered a brain injury.

Super fun lol.

This is why you don't trade a couple first round picks. Sure if healthy the Lakers could be pretty good.

But they're never healthy...

Jokes on my lakers, we should of been load managing AD how the clippers are coddling Kawhi, he'd have lasted til possibly feb before another possible injury hiccup.

Damn, this truly sucks for AD. I've gone from being utterly frustrated by him to now just feeling sorry for him. And yes I get that he's multimillionaire who gets paid an ungodly amount of money to play basketball so I'm not out building a charity for him. But it's clear that the guy was absolutely giving his heart out there but his body just will not cooperate.

And it's not a poor diet or work ethic that's affecting him, his body simply can't handle the grind of an 82-game season no matter how much effort he puts into staying on the court. Unfortunately for him, it's probably only going to get worse from now on as he enters his 30s. You'll probably be lucky to get more than 60 games out of him in any season and will have to severely load manage his minutes to maximize his talents. Hopefully he''ll be able to get his body right to play more meaningful minutes but it's time to accept that this is just who he is at this point.

As for the Lakers, you now have to make the hard decision to rebuild. I would have liked to have at least one more run at a ring with a Lebron-AD core but it's not going to happen. Lebron is too old and AD is too injury prone. Right now their ceiling is maybe a play-in spot which does absolutely nothing for you. Start looking at trade options for AD and Westbrook, stockpile some picks, and let Lebron decide whether he wants to spending the rest of his career on a rebuilding team or get traded to a contender. This absurd one foot in, one foot out strategy has got to stop. Commit to the rebuild and start moving forward already.

Davis is bizarre because I don't think he's ever even had surgery right? certainly nothing major. He just always has those lingering things that make you miss 10 games at a time or so.

He actually lasted longer than I expected this year.

The secret sauce is to get AD's injury early enough in the season, play .500 ball and pray that AD stays healthy for the playoffs

If AD was healthy the Lakers had no chance at making the playoffs so does it even matter?

What are you talking about  they’re 1.5 games out of the play in and were actually playing very well recently. This is after a horrible 2-10 start. No chance at the playoffs? I can’t believe 4 people agreed with your post

LeBron can’t be traded this year and I am not sure him nor AD net you a boatload of picks. OKC and Utah who have the picks likely are not interested in Lebron because he doesn’t fit their timeline. I still say yes, trade both of them and get whatever assets you can.

Can the LeBronkers be considered a success? The 2020 season doesn't really count for me. It was the one playoff season I didn't tune it at all, not even once. It seems LAL is run by toadies trying to appease LeBron and building teams solely based on big names, regardless of age.

Well the current treadmill status quo can only go so far ( once Lebron retires in a couple of years) and it’s not exactly championship wining stuff either. Get what you can interms of long term

Oh yeah an injury prone big man in a city known for having some of the worst big man luck with injuries! What could go wrong?

Hey, maybe we can trade for Zion also then we can really test fate.
