I watched a few Celtic media people (including Eddie House) and I must have missed the memo that stated that every team who does not have as good of record as your team, is garbage and should never beat the team with the better record.
I liked the Magic player memes, but generally I think like most memes, they miss the point. Disrespecting disrespect is not normally a great way to earn respect.
I would have wished that the Magic team had simply walked away like beating the Celts was no big deal. The Magic are a young team, so there is that, but better off acting like you have been there before.
I also think that of the top 5 players on the court against the Celtics, the Magic fielded 4 of the top 5.

The Celtics are the ones who acted immaturely. After the first game, no one congratulated the Magic, after the second game only Grant Williams shook our hands. Bunch of overrated babies.AaronB wrote:I watched a few Celtic media people (including Eddie House) and I must have missed the memo that stated that every team who does not have as good of record as your team, is garbage and should never beat the team with the better record.

House deserved the backlash.

I agree that it's better not to take part in that kind of behavior, but at least it was playful and specific to Eddie House.
To your point, one of my favorite qualities about this team is that they don't over-celebrate or act immaturely on the court, especially after big wins. It's been like that here for as long as I can remember.
I would rather cheer teams of high character guys that don't win it all versus low character teams that do. But that's me.

At least they got over throwing buckets of water on the player with hot mike, doing an interview, or dropping F-bombs on national TV. I remember the TWolves clean-up crew saying something about the mess we left. Other than that, they're very mature.Kent wrote:I agree that it's better not to take part in that kind of behavior, but at least it was playful and specific to Eddie House.

The lesson we should all take from this is anyone can beat anyone in the NBA. We might go 7-0 through this gauntlet and lose to Houston or the Spurs at home. You can't pencil in any victories.

The lesson other teams should take from this is they should be peeing on themselves with the thought of facing us.

Don’t talk trash if there is easily accessible video around of you getting bitch-slapped by a guy in your target team’s uni

Plus, if the guy says the team that beat you twice at home is garbage, then what does it say about your team?
If anything, you give them props and credit. Not only is that respectful, but it makes you and your team shine a little better.
Key takeaway? All things with kindness.
