Doncic went 1-for-9 when McDaniels guarded him. There was a tweet last month that listed several stars that really struggled when Jaden guarded them.

I hope to see McDaniels make the All Defense team this year. He gets so little respect.

In case people hadn’t noticed, the Mavs and Wolves were both 15-15 entering the game. That’s the #9 and #10 spot, so if they hold on, a victory looks good in the standings.

FWIW, GSW (#11) enters the night 15-16, and the Jazz (#8) are 17-16.

I honestly feel like Luka wanted out of a December game in Minnesota. He physically looked like he came into the game kind of beaten up, and he definitely wasn’t hurrying back on defense. On one play, the Mavs let him just stand in the corner and rest. He seemed emotionally spent, and not necessarily from anything MIN did (although having long McDaniels guarding you can’t be fun). I believe he leads the league in usage, and it has to get exhausting carrying that team all the time.

He, more than anyone, knows what you can and can’t say to a ref. I don’t think he cared about playing tonight, especially the way the last two quarters had gone for his teammates.

I'm listening to this game with the Dallas feed. Those guys IMO are actually pretty fair.
