I’m not there yet, but I occasionally find myself wondering what a Hawks team *WITHOUT Trae would look like…

Re: Humbled Hawks Host Streaking Magic
I'm thinking right now that it might have been better if they lost this one, because it would have really highlight the poor end game, and that ORL did a 13-0 and took the lead after this technical.
Just incredibly stupid way of playing bball. You hit your shot, good, but go place yourself for defense instead of staying near/going at an opponent.
Wagner didn't even really push Trae, he placed his arm to have space more than to create space by pushing Trae away, and then Trae just look at him like he want to teach him a listen. That's why Wagner bumped him a bit after that.
But Trae was the one needing a lesson in this game.
A big problem I see: it really looks like Nate is OK with this ISO or hero ball at the end.
And once again, Trae at 15pts/10ast at the half, including 4 to Collins, 3 to Hunter, 1 to Okongwu, Griffin and Murray
He even add 15pts/11ast at the start of 3rd quarter (so 4 to Hunter), and they were leading by 10pts
But then he scored 22pts for only 2ast??? One alley-oop to Okongwu with 2min left in the 3rd, and one to Murray with 4min left in the game.
It's not the first, unfortunately, that I saw that this guy, once at 10ast, looks to have one goal more than any other: 30pts or more, and hero ball. Tonight, at 37pts/13ast, he was clearly trying to get another 40/10 more than anything.
If he gets it by still running the team well, great, but if it's at the potential cost of a L for the team while they were leading by 12pts?
It's the same kind of behavior that leads to hearing Westbrook claiming that he would not care if he doesn't win a title because he already shined with his personal stats.
I'm not sure if the rumors of teammates frustrated are true or not, but I would sure be if I was playing in this team and seeing how you can share the ball in first half, then stop to do it in the second. And seeing a coach that looks OK with such a thing, or he's afraid of saying anything and losing his job

Re: Humbled Hawks Host Streaking Magic
Peachtree HoopsDejounte Murray was a little more blunt in his assessment, saying the Hawks need to ‘grow up.’
“I think we just got sloppy, got comfortable,” said Murray of the final three minutes. “Like I was preaching after the game, we’ve got to grow up. Starting with me. Just what we’re playing for, these type of games show we’re not playing to win and get to the playoffs and try to make noise. We’ve got to grow up. It’s OK to learn from a win, even losses, but you’d rather learn from a win than a loss. We got sloppy and comfortable and almost lost the game.”

Might as well let Prunty coach the last 5 minutes. It was basically the same setup Woodson had with LD... Oh wait, Drew took that.

Who's going to replace Nate, control Trae, and keep the locker room chill?
The fake plastic necklaces suck. We aren't the Miami Hurricanes.
