All I want for Christmas...i mean...the Orlando Magic is…

A tall secondary ball handler that can shoot 3s, keep the ball moving, and defend multiple positions.

To me that looks basically like a healthy Lonzo Ball.

It's the time of year for believing, and i still believe we have a 4 man core. Paolo, Franz, Suggs, and WCJ. Add a shooter like Ball that can share ball handling with Suggs and Franz, and that looks like a winning starting 5, and a perennial contender once these young guys figure it all out.

I want that player so bad that I would risk trading for Lonzo, and risk eating 2 more years of salary if this knee issue never fully resolves. I mean we will probably add a nice piece or two in this draft, but much much like my kids sneaking into the wife's closet looking for presents, i just don't have the patience.

Yah, I am bored at work in an empty office...scrolling through the boards.

I promise one day we'll find that player so that everyone can stop hoping we trade for guys with bad knees.

I like Lonzo's game too but can't trade for guys with "mysterious" injuries with no understanding of when or if. I don't mind a 22yo getting scoped, but his sounds way too "Isaac-y". We're maybe seeing the end of the tunnel up ahead with Fultz' TOS, let's not dive in there again.

I want a significant ballsy trade...one that makes me wonder for a minute before I get on board. A player that costs a lot but brings a whole new vibe for ORL around the NBA. Puts us firmly on the map as a force to be reckoned with.

I don't mean for this to turn into a Lonzo discussion, meant to see other folks' Magic wishes.

BUT (since you brought it up) returning to Ball. There's no ballsier move, and he might be able to be had for cheap. Like Lonzo for Bamba and our 2nd this year. I saw a Bulls beat writer say today, they'd be willing to dump the salary.

And we are probably one of the few teams that could take on this kind of risk. We have $57M in guaranteed contracts next year. We have to spend the money somewhere, but even if we want to bring in another FA like a Gary Trent or someone like that. That's a $105M under the luxury tax. And our young guys that matter aren't going to be getting extended until 2025-2026. So how are we going to spend all this money until 2025.? Take a huge homerun swing on the perfect fit coming back strong next year......because if does come back strong, he will cost an arm and one of our healthy knees.

Hey and if he doesn't come back we swung and we missed, and we still have A LOT of cap space

At that cost, or maybe even less, I'm down...but I still want a significant trade for a young guard. We could do both and, if Ball is back next year, look like aces.

How about Grant Hill for Ball?

I think the Bulls might bite.....and even thinking of what a what a let down Grant Hill ended up being for the Magic, his 2nd to last year with the Magic was great and he had some really solid years with Phoenix. He ended up playing until he was 40.

FVV and Luke Kennard would be great. Not being too greedy....
