Now that settlements and agreements have been reached, Charlotte needs to hurry up and make their intentions known.

If they're legitimately trying to bring him back, they need to hurry up and make it happen so the league can decide/impose potential punishment and get that process moving.

Hurrying up and making a decision goes against everything the Charlotte Hornets' front office stands for.

My thought is the league is going to manage the timing and what the league does will impact our options, but maybe it's the opposite.

he's losing the vast majority of his salary to a suspension whenever he signs... if the Hornets aren't matching, would it shock anybody to see him take a min this season elsewhere, serve out his 30-40 game suspension, then play the final 5-10 games of the season+playoffs?

Not that the Lakers are trending in the playoff direction- I see a team like Miami taking that shot.

I'm not suggesting one way or the other on that, just saying in the event that Charlotte decides we want nothing to do with him, a cheap contract to a contender is something I can see

I doubt NBA suspends him until he is signed, which is probably one thing holding any movement back at the time.

I'm sure... or at least I would hope, that the Hornets have put all kinds of Clauses in his contract where he needs to do a minimum amount of stuff in the community.... in addition to all the court mandated stuff.
