Thj & wood for Tobias. Getting rid of Hardaway is addition by subtraction

Minus the sensational Luka dagger 3 this might be some of the worst offensive closing minutes of basketball by 2 teams I've ever seen

A win is a win. Not pretty but it counts.

He literally just drew a massive charge and made a massive assist to Luka and helped seal the win. Strangely timed comment.

They unleashed Bertans tonight. +23 in only 17 minutes.

Wood lowkey saved the game there with that rebound and foul. And Bertans is already a Mavs legend next to Bobi.

Bertans is +/- 23, this guy does exactly what DFS, Bullock and THJ don't do, move the ball, move without the ball and play within the flow, if only he didn't have negative lateral quickness.

Kidd needs to start to learn how to coach properly. I haven't seen a shooter like Bertans in a Mavs uni since Peja and there should always be a way to use him for 9 to 15 points a game on spot up threes.

Rockets have many clueless young players, this Nix guy was a Mavs player today.

Just to let you know, you're arguing with a person who also thinks that Green is bad for Mavs :D

Bertans had 2 steals a block and a clutch 3, and highest +/- out of any player in only 17 minutes. He did good.

Agreed. I know he was injured to start the year and was sick recently, but he easily replaces Kleber in terms of stretching the floor. Even if Maxi was healthy then Bertans should be seeing the floor.

Surely all of these close/clutch games will pay off in the playoffs, right?!

Luka was superb, but shoutout to Wood and Wright setting the tone on defense.

Hopefully we have some guys back before we take on the Lakers. AA better be rocking for the Xmas game!

42 minutes for Luka, he'll struggle gaining weight playing this heavy load.

Maxi is obviously more able to match up with most players on defense but is very hit and miss on offense. Bertans is just a weapon from 3 but I also don't think he's as bad defensively as advertised. Given that Kidd ran our 2011 team with Peja on it you'd think he can find that role and draw up some plays for Bertans easily. The guy is money from 3.

And 2nd highest scorer with 11 points.

Even if it doesnt show much in the stats, i think wood were great today and 2nd best mavs player. Very disrupting and annoying for the houston players. Shot didnt fall but were great at everything outside that.

THJ tho. I dont dislike thj, i think he got his moments and is a great shooter. But if he doesnt hit in first half, just sit him the rest of the game and give those minutes to bertans and dorsey that are atleast as good shooters, cause if thj doesnt hit in first half, he is not gonna hit in the 2nd.

Wright looked useful. Frank too. Bertans do what he can with his minutes and atleast one of those missed 3s were a looong heave at end of shotclock.

We won while having injuries, a lot of the bench players got bigger minutes then usual and Luka almost had a 50p triple. Lets just be happy we won and hope some are back for the lakers game on sunday.

Everything about the KP trade was disastrous. Especially THJ and Bertans

Man, you are obsessed

He was the second best player on the team tonight

Bertans can play, Kidd can't coach and you can't write about basketball. You can't escape from them.

Thanks for the constant personal insults, really kind of you, especially in the Christmas season. You can easily block me if I'm that bad, no reason to quote me ever again
