Turnovers again absolutely killed the team...22 turnovers and so many of them are easily avoidable.

A fitting loss as we blow the inbound play.
The only guys that played well were Reid and McD. Ant put up great numbers but he had 8 turnovers.

Since KAT went down with injury, this team has played 13 matches. Gobert played in 10 of those matches and Wolves record in those 10 matches is 3-7. In the 3 matches which Gobert missed, team record is 3-0. Not every loss is attributable to Gobert but atm he is just not playing up to his contract/trade value. Considering how competitive West is, we can't afford to wait further for the team to gel..we are almost halfway through the season but Gobert thing is still not working. This team is at the risk of missing playoffs

Miami had 101 shots, MN had like 78. That's what turnovers do. We beat ourselves again.
Rudy had only 8 boards. Not enough.

Jaden needs to be called out for his terrible rebounding. He is atrocious on the glass. Robinson just mauled him, he offers zero resistance. He gets bodied by guards. It's just awful. This team needs smarts and grit in the worst way. WE have zero physicality.

More than the draft compensation we paid, what hurts even more in the Gobert trade is giving away Walker who already looks like a decent C and also Gobert's max contract lasting until 2026.

Remember that post trade Min was supposed to be a top 5 team battling deep in the PO with a chance to win it all. Its actually hard to find something we are better at this year. Its almost like having a lumbering, zero skill, can't catch a ball to safe his life, outrebounded when matters the most, sitting in the way of everything, unswitchable, can't post on guards, 50 percent free throw shooter, soft 7'2 dude did not help us after all. Now a ton of the teams offense involves screens by the softy, just the thing is that well he cant pop, because he cant shoot, cant catch the ball on the roll, cant finish through any sort of contact, cant expose a 6 foot guy guarding him in the post and so on, thus in reality he just brings his guy to the ballhander. Nice job, Im just shocked we suck

And this will be Gobert's best season for the Wolves given his age

WTF is wrong with Rudy. I have a hard time believing that he has always been this bad.
So many times tonight, rather than contesting a shot in the lane, he slinks like a whipped dog back to his man and plays for the rebound. Reminded me of how Kevin Love played defense. WTF dude this is what we traded for you to do.
And they weren't even elite players attacking the rim, they were mediocre or over the hill scrubs.
Come out and play you are 7"freaking 2. Worst thing is they toss a lob over you but you are plenty damn big enough to disrupt that.
No reason on god's green earth he let them shoot so many 5-8 foot floaters without making any effort to even alter them.
Something is very wrong here.
Is he doing what he's told or is this a bunch of pouting about not liking the scheme?
FInchy, your schemes are atrocious. Something needs to change.
Gobert needs to set more off-ball screens and we need to attack more off the edges to get the defenses moving laterally.
We were doing this more before Towns got hurt. Can't force it into Rudy, he has to be patient enough to wait for the 3rd or 4th pass and concentrate on his spacing.
He stands there like a dope calling for the ball like he's Hakeem Olajuwon and not a guy with some of the worst hands in the league.
This pick and roll from the top of the key is too easy to defend when Rudy is involved.
Going to look so much worse when Naz leaves in the summer for a better opportunity.
D-Lo bringing nothing but chucking, still so lackadaisical with the ball and it costs us.
I think Ant is feeling the pressure, but you can see the growth.
We desperately need to run many more set plays and for FInch to set some kind of pecking order offensively, because these guys can't figure it out on their own. We shot 54% but that was mostly because Naz and Ant were red hot.
So many turnovers were a function of really bad offense where guys are trying to make plays from really bad spots on the floor along with piss poor spacing in transition.
Tonight just goes to show a team full of scrubs that is really well coached defensively will beat a more talented undisciplined team more often than not.

I was able to watch the entire match this morning...I hope after tonight's match you understood what I meant by "bad management" by "lack of a game idea" by "lack of a soul". Miami sent us into a tailspin with simple zone defense. Neither Finch nor the players on the pitch managed to attack first a 3-2 and then a 2-3 in the second half. What are we talking about? The ball doesn't circulate, we leave a lot to chance and fate. This way we won't go far.
Ps: We lost with Miami Heat that had on the pitch just Herro and Lowry. No words.

Re: **The Minnesota Ants vs The Miami Herros Game Thread 6:30PM***
Yeah, a lot of issues coming back around.
1. Can't have the guy you went all-in on sitting on the bench in the 4th due to bad play. That's just shocking and I have no idea who to blame for that.
2. As mentioned above there needs to be a pecking order and more structured offensive sets. I get the idea behind a free flowing offence and in the right hands it would be potent but this is a team filled with single digit IQ morons. You simply can't run that sort of crap.
3. DLo has fallen back to earth, which we all should have expected. He was never going to shoot 60%+ from 3 all season and without that falling.
4. It's fair to point out we're missing a number of guys. Our bench is decimated and our starters are missing their most consistent and arguably best scorer in Towns. That doesn't excuse the loss but it does deserve to be mentioned.
5. Nowell doesn't deserve any minutes, nor does Forbes. There is no reason at this point to play either over Moore. At least if he sucks you're either developing him or realising you need to move on from him. The other two have no real future here.
6. The thing that pisses me off about the Gobert trade is not that they wanted to make a deal (last year's team had a serious cap on it, anyone thinking otherwise is delusional) it's that they did it specifically to address Towns' issues. KAT should not have factored into a decision like this whatsoever, the only concern moving forward should have always been Edwards. And yet here we are, again, hitching our wagon to a one way big that really isn't as special as people try to make him out to be.
I expect, at best, we're in the play-ins. Whether we make it past that is anyone's guess.
I expect they'll point to injuries to explain why we disappointed this year.
I expect minor moves in the offseason that address few, if any, of the issues.
I expect next year will largely be the same.
I hope that will lead to KAT demanding a trade.
I expect that will lead to Gobert wanting out.
I expect, assuming we don't get reamed in those trades, that we'll be a better team when they're gone.

Last year with Naz and KAT, we were just fine. Now with gobert, why do you need to force everything just to get him involved in the offense? So frustrating

Very true. Jaden is so slight build wise. He should rebound better no excuses.
You'd think Rudy would step up big time there and he just doesn't. I've watched Gobert for years and I am astonished he's as bad a player in so many ways as he is. Any ideas of turning Rudy into an offensive player should be dismissed immediately. Lobs at the basket is the only thing he can do well. Not enough effort from him either rebounding and shot blocking. I don't recall him blocking many shots. It looks like he blocks 1.2 per game which isn't very good for someone like him.
When we traded for him his offensive game never entered my mind. I thought he'd get every rebound and protect the rim which is what we needed most.
Could our staff be at fault with what they are asking from him?

wtf... You're absolutely right. can someone whos been at the games confirm this? I would see them at most games but I forgot that those two even existed. did they see what became of the trade and decided to leave since the old man didn't let them take control? wow.. I honestly wouldn't blame then for jumping ship, but they really did just convince Taylor to hire a guy and make a horrible 2K trade and smacked us with the hard reset again.
But seriously, where the hell are they now after the constant promoting?? They owe the fandom an apology. I'm already trying to convince my kids to follow the Warriors (why not let them be happy) because I now have heart problems because of the many years of constant stress because of this trash organization. And I'll be damned if I allow them to walk the same path of insanity. I'm sure all of those who have followed this team for more than 10 years should go and get their heart looked at...seriously.

Bro I couldn't agree more with this. a lot of us have been saying it but I'm glad people are still pointing this out. It just takes a little common sense to see these things. After all the talk of Dlo and Towns being best friends and not trading Dlo becasue of that reason has always bothered me. where are their buddy pictures of them together? I doubt towns wants him around his girl because he'd look lame in comparison. but we trade away Ants support system..wth?
Was Finch sending a message to Rudy in the 4th? if Rudy didnt have to come in for the rebound that he ddint grab would Naz have played the whole 4th?
Oh yeah. F**K Kahnellys feelings. why are we the only team that has to take years of bs product because the new hire wants to come in and prove themselves? Just fire the c**t, he shouldn't be able to try and clean up a mess that is shown to not be repairable with time. I can understand the pay and contract factor, but this guy should not be making anymore moves for the business's sake. If he actually worked for Lore he would have fired him by now.
