I'd be tempted, but would probably ultimately pass. Both FVV and Maxey are liabilities on the defensive end. Where as Maxey is more athletic and the better scorer, FVV is the better pure shooter. Plus Maxey is a lot younger on a team that needs youth.

I'd love to have OG as he would fill a glaring weakness on the Sixers but trading Harris would leave a big hole at the PF spot and make our already poor rebounding even worse.
Huh, Maxey has a great 3 point shot and 2 point shot. Why do you think FVV if a better pure shooter?

I guess I should have said that FVV is the better natural shooter. Maxey had to work his butt off to improve his shot and his shooting mechanics though improved since he came into the league are still a bit unorthodox to put it nicely.

You want rebounding? Call upon the Rebound God.

And FVV who we'd be getting back isn't a total defensive liability either? At least with Maxey he can score all over the floor and get defenders in foul trouble. Thus his best defense is his offense.

Who is this "Rebound God" anyway? Fact is that rebounding is our biggest issue atm and would be even worse if we failed to replace Harris with a bigger better-rebounding PF.

FVV has a player option next year (let him walk if he doesn’t take it or trade at the deadline), whereas Harris is 39 mil guaranteed (far out!).That alone opens up possibilities. Think holistically

Harris is very hard to move because of the huge contract size. 37 and 39 to go those numbers are reserved for superstars only imo

The only side strat I can think of is if a young franchise team needs a big filler and a tank commander just to fill in space before their young players get their big boy contract (think Jalen Green at the Rockers for example). So you you use a big slice of your cap and you tank, win/win. Then when Harris’s contract expires you can auto into a max for the youngster.

Raptors have Barnes fwiw.

OG is on a wonderful contract atm, age, value, archetype etc. that’s why I think Siakam is the more likely one.

Ummm Josh Hart? Pound for pound best rebounder in the league. Monster on the boards solves our problem quite literally.

The Sixers have nothing to entice POR to trade Josh Hart.

Thybulle is there if they want to look at him, Milton, they are most likely going to be sellers that’s the most important part of it.

Grimes 32pts so far against mavs. He’s the guy, not Barrett

So Tobias & Simmons both earn millions more this season than Embiid & Harden.

Crazy world we live in.

Zero interest in Tobias Harris.

If that happens POR will want FRP for Hart, not Tobias Harris.
