I wasn’t able to watch the whole game, but I did turn it on at the start of the 4th… holy moly that was disgraceful.
There’s no positives from a loss like this. We’re going to be bottom 3, it’s basically guaranteed. Winning games like this at least give the players some hope moving forward. That was just awful.
At least the young guys looked pretty good for 80% of the game.

Awful. We can hope they learn from it and get angry and not let that happen again. Embarrassing. I’m not against the tank, but not like that.

Brutal, not much else you can say really

Interested to see what a game like this (and being booed off the court) does to the team morale

I think if you extrapolated the 8 minute collapse to a 48 minute game its roughly like being outplayed by a score of 164-16.

This team does not deserve to be bailed out by a VW.

That was one of the worst losses I’ve ever seen in the past 20 years I’ve been watching basketball as a whole. I’ve never seen such collapse. There is no good to take out of this. That was heart wrenching for any young fan to watch. I’ve seen winning days so i’m not concerned knowing we’re pulling off The Process and instead of getting fired like Hinkie, Weaver got an extension as he should. Our clear problem is defense, I’ve never seen worse defense. Team needs a new coach.

Yeah, that was the most putrid 8 minutes of basketball I've ever witnessed.

Okay fine, 6 minutes. I stopped watching 3 minutes into the overtime. Gotta be pretty bad for me to give up during overtime. We accomplished it.

For as much love as Killian gets for his defense, he's been playing big minutes and we've still been horrible on D. Stewart also has been closer to a league average defender than a plus defender this season. The "culture" certainly isn't there with this team when it comes to locking down on defense.

It's probably the biggest reason we should strongly consider moving on from Bojan, because we're the worst defensive team in the league and he's probably a bottom 10 defender in the league as well. You don't want to set the system to be a guy who's your worst defender gets the bulk of your shots. I'd rather reward guys like Livers, Duren, Stew, and Hayes with those FGAs if they're playing harder/better defense in a "development year" anyways.

I'm reading this and it's still pretty baffling how we screwed that up. Ty Lue literally threw in the towel and let the bench mob in to finish the game and give us the win. This shouldn't have gone to overtime either

Id have every piece of **** one of them running "arena snakes" for days.
Wouldnt even allow a basketball on the practice court till some serious pentance was paid.
They can quit i dont care, they need to earn the right or kick rocks
Time to take the baby gloves off.
What we saw out there cannot just be shrugged off. This type of losing needs to be crushed, that was not tanking, that was quitting.
Totally unacceptable.

Eta: Had it been a road game I wouldnt have allowed Casey on the flight home.

It's as if Casey knows that the team isn't going anywhere and gives offensively talented players a free pass on the defensive end. I first saw it with Christian Wood, then Bagley. Bojan and Burks continue the trend.

This would seem to be contrary to developing the right mindset with the youngsters. These defensive failures are called learning moments by Casey but they may be learning team defense doesn't really matter if you are a productive scorer.

I'm fine with letting the youngsters play through mistakes as they develop but not holding vets accountable on the defensive end undermines developing a winning culture.

Just brutal.

Thank God Luka just dismantled the hapless Knicks, or this would be a topic of conversation.

There is a timer on Casey, and games like this speed it up a notch.

Or two.

It’s definitely the coaching before the players in that game. He’s gonna get fired imo.

What I saw was a team that played really well for three quarters and then collapsed when a team with superior talent put the defensive screws on them down the stretch and they had no go-to offensive player. Fourth quarters like this are where teams need stars to take over and shine. Not sure Cade's at that level yet, but I think we stand a much better shot at closing this with him in the line up to make some of those clutch offensive plays.
