The Detroit and Washington picks will more than likely role over to next year. Detroits pick is protected 1-18 in 24, 1-14 in 25, 1-11 in 26, and 1-9 in 27. Washingtons pick is protected 1-14 this year, 1-12 in 24, 1-10 in 25 and 1-8 in 26.

That Dallas pick is Top 10 protected until 25.

You've lost your mind. If you can't see he's proven he can play at an all star level at his position and have a hugely positive impact on winning basketball in a starting role then you're jaded. This same squad was garbage and all they added was Brunson and Hartenstein.

and? like a week ago knicks were 11-13 which is the same winning percentage as last year. couple games against chicago and indiana and he became a borderline hall of fame player, one bad week and he is likely back to irrelevancy

took barely a week to be proven right lol

Certainly, some terrible losses during this 4 game stretch.

Bright spots ?

-We were in all four games ( maybe a little TOO in- losing late leads to Dallas, Chicago, Philly)

- Quentin Grimes proving Knicks front office correct for their refusal to ship him

- Randle has been consistently impactful and has had the proper demeanor

- Mitchell Robinson is unquestionably the NBAs best offensive rebounder.

Just like the winning streak didn't mean we were winning a ring, the losing streak doesn't mean we're tanking for Wemby. Especially not when Grimes missed the first loss, Brunson missed the latest loss, Barrett went out less than two minutes into it, and the worst loss was by 7pts...

:dontknow: We don't have the talent to keep it rolling without the key drivers to that winning streak, but we already knew this team didn't have a true #1 option and needed to be clicking on all cylinders to win consistently. If anything it has only reinforced how important our starting 5 is to us, and how much the bench needs Obi to get fit again to give them more punch.

...and seeing Grimes step up with JB & RJ out was really cool; the kid has more secondary ballhandling & creation potential than he often gets credit for, even if he's mostly out there because of his 3&D abilities ATM. If we ever turn any of Randle / Barrett / Brunson into a title caliber #1, Grimes is the kind of supporting piece that can heroically win some key games during a run.

Plus it was nice to see Rose come in last night and still look like himself; this season hasn't gone the way he wanted it to, but whenever I see him on the court he still looks more than quick & explosive enough to play his game...his game just isn't the high energy, high intensity defending that Deuce McBride brings to the 2nd unit that helps us maintain the pressure on teams even when Grimes rests, and he's not as versatile a defender as Quickley; so he's been squeezed out of our (healthy) starting & backup backcourts by Brunson & the kids.

Exactly. A lot of bad luck during this losing streak. Some here of course act as if the Knicks have been blown out in those games during this losing streak lol. The Knicks could have easily won those games if you played them again, they've been that close.

Sure, but some good luck went into the winning streak. Maybe not as much, as our wins were much more decisive than these losses have been, but Obi being the only guy who was hurt during that winning streak was fortunate.

Ultimately I agree that there have been plenty of positives from this month and even the losing streak, but I don't like playing the luck (or refs) card.

I was going to say this earlier but i dont feel line win streaks are that impressive anymore. More than half the league has had win streaks of 5 wins. Even teams curently not in the play in have had their 5 game win streaks. There is something about the sechule that can be playing into it because im seeing more teams have longer home stands and riad trips. This doesn't seem to aply to the Knicks though. Seems like they are winning on defense more than anything but i still woll caution people from getting into a frenzy over winning streaks.

The Knicks are going to be forever stained the same way the Raps are tied to Kobe’s 81.

The entire purpose of the Knicks is so that the superstars of the NBA can have mega games or signature games. You have Wilt's 100. You have Doncic's 60/21/10 with a 9 point comeback in 33 seconds. Dwyane Wade scored his career high of 55 points against the Knicks.

And if you look at 'the Mecca', with the exception of Willis Reed hobbling onto the court, you'll notice that practically every signature moment has come at the Knicks' expense.

Steph broke the 3 point record at MSG and also had a 54 point performance where he went 11-13 from 3 which was essentially his coming out party.
MJ's double nickel was at MSG signifying that he was back.
Reggie's 8 points in 9 seconds was at MSG.
Harden's career high of 61 points was at MSG.
Kobe had a 61 point game at MSG.
LeBron had a 50/10/8 game and then a 54/9/11 game there.
Siakam had a career high 52.

This is the Knicks' sole purpose. To prop up the stars of the NBA.
