Embiid they may do

Chalk up the idea as an unlikely trade fantasy along with all of the lesser likely worser ones involving Jimmy in this thread

Embiid would be dope here

The talent infusion that he would bring would be a revelation.

His presence I think would also extend Jimmy’s late prime as an added benefit.

Jimmy wouldnt need to have as many life and death performances in the playoffs to keep the team afloat.

I would love to see Bam playing with an elite passing PG like a Luka Trae CP etc. (in Miami). That’s part of why I’m hoping the rumors are true and Westbrook is traded with picks for pieces to the lakers, bought out; and then signs with Miami. I’ve watched a lot more of him recently and he get so many easy looks for the lakers bigs off his rim pressure and just elite passing

3 team deal this summer after Micky sells the team to Wade and Shaq:

Lowrys expiring out for a 1st to someone like Dallas with the first going to BKN, Kyrie coming to Miami in a sign and trade.

Herro Duncan Jovic and 4 more 1sts to the Nets for KD and Royce

Kyrie
Strus
Jimmy/Royce
KD
Bam

Just hand us the 2-3 peat.

Imagine if we had taken the gamble on Kyrie this summer for Pennies and then flipped other salary and picks for another star level guy or multiple high level role players :o

Kyrie showing he’s still very elite

Kyrie has always been elite on the court, it’s off the court that scares people

Feels light. But I also don’t like the idea of keeping him in the East if we’re not fully resetting.

DOM, how many picks would it take you to consider a trade with Jimmy for Rui Hachimura and that Deni kid?

Wiz has Beal and Kristaps, I think with a little pressure you could squeeze 3 or so pics out of them so they could have a "serious team"

Due to Jimmy’s salary and their hard cap status it’s a bit more difficult. Beat you could do, if you’re wanting them to keep the best on-court team, would be Jimmy/Max/Gabe for Barton/Wright/Rui/Deni/Davis/first you might be able to get 3

I'm not much of a fan of Rui or Deni. Wasn't a fan during the draft and haven't followed Washington at all to know how they've progressed. If trading Butler, I'd want at least one sure thing and I don't feel that Washington can offer that. If the trade materialized Washington would have to give all the picks. That package doesn't feel good though the picks would likely give us a lotto pick each year they convey.

Collins value has decreased. He's more of a tertiary level offensive producer and not a great defender. He can produce but his limitations don't integrate smoothly into an all for one offense like we have here.

Hunter is a personal fave of mine. He's a guy I can see progressing into a very valuable commodity in the near future. Getting him would be nabbing a top prospect before he puts the league on notice.

The pick wouldn't be great, but I believe the overall value to our team would be quality with the addition of a big (no matter the fit) and a rock solid 3 and D makes sense.

Butler is a top 15 level player but he's old and can't stay on the floor. That's a scary proposition to sell a team on. Include that he's going to be making absolutely stupid money and the return is going to be tempered.

Miami trades Duncan and top 4 protected pick for Hartenstein, Reddish and Quickley.

Do we need to add value?

Booker out for a month. Suns need to stay afloat and trade for Butler. Hurry up, Riley! WTF.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

I’d say so, they want a 1st for Quickley alone. Reddish they want something of value and hartenstein is probably one of the better backup Cs in the league without looking much into it.

Yeah I don’t know what Riley is doing, bro.

We pull off this deal, secretly tank rest of the year and hope for Wemby or Scoot. And then we are right back in contention for the ship.

Yeah, a bit light. We are so devoid of assets.

Would Strus added make the deal better or worse?

It sure sounds nice.

If you tell me we could trade Butler for Bridges and Weby/Scoot, I'd be all over it.

I love the draft and it's my biggest criticism of our org. We have snubbed our noses at it for decades. In my eyes it's as realistic as trying to dump some rings on a table for every free agent out there.

Bridges for example. We traded our pick that year which was ultimately used to acquire Bridges. Would be nice to have that one back.
