Critical failure on this organization not getting Williams minutes early. You can’t tell me he’s all that different from Kessler who got minutes early for a jazz team that was trying to tank and is better than us

Meh. Let him cook on the Swarm for a bit longer. No rush...

If he doesn't play anymore for the the Hornets at all this season it would be a mistake. The fact that he hasn't played much before Christmas is not at all a critical failure. It's probably smart so that he can learn the nuances of the pro game and get stronger. Kessler is both older and thicker then Williams and plays a more traditional C role. He needs the exercise down in Greensboro for now.

Maybe my flaw is that I think Mark could be playing in the NBA and putting up Jalen Duren numbers right now if we gave him 22 mpg.

This is the first thing I looked at when I checked the box score this morning. I've been curious to see what his foul rate would be in the big league. He was going up against Nurk tho (one of the bigger and more physical Cs currently in the NBA) and his foul rate has been really good in the Gleague. Hopefully the next couple of games will give a better idea of what it'll actual be for him as a rookie big.

That's true. Blazers went to that well a lot.

i thought he was a bit hard done by with the foul prior, Nurk was bashing into him and Mark was just trying to hold his ground when they blew the whistle. i hope he gets minutes against GSW but it could end up a small ball match up

more solid minutes from mark vs gs. be real interesting to see what cliff does once nick returns. you gotta keep mark in rotation, but cliff isnt gonna bench mason and nick certainly has earned minutes. none can play pf. only a trade or injury can solve this dilemma.

As much as I tease dook players and their fans I have been a fan of a few of their players or I don't care about their success level once they make it to the PRO's. I was a HUGE GRANT HILL and MCROBERTS fan. Only one I am not a fan of is Grayson Allen lol. I had Grant Hill sneakers and posters lol.

There is a slight part of me that is not totally a fan of his yet due to me rooting against him so much just a matter of months ago lol but I am low key letting the feelings go haha..

Nurk really laid out the welcome mat for the rook. Chalk it to experience. :nonono:

Tonight was better though. Was on the floor for the big comeback in the 4th. That has to make an impression on Cliff, right...?

The rookie is ready, at this point he just needs rotation minutes.

I actually think Plumlee is having a pretty good season, but he needs to exit the picture immediately and let Nic/Mark handle everything from here. Trade Plumdog to a playoff team for something reasonable and when Cliff has a sad tell him it's okay, Mason got sent away to a farm in the country where he can run and play outside all day.

"He’s the first rookie in NBA history to collect at least 15 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks on 100% shooting, and fifth player in NBA history to accomplish the feat.

Should Williams, who's putting up 22.8 points and 15.4 rebounds per36 minutes, become just 60% of what he looks like statistically right now, it's a huge win for the Hornets, and it would raise some questions as to why head coach Steve Clifford waited this long to give the 21-year-old a chance.
