How? 7'4 295 lbs with scoring touch requires a double in the post. So he creates open looks. On ballscreens he's a force. Let them chuck 3s or long 2s on the other end.

Have you watched him play? Full game. Not highlights. He is the slowest player in college basketball. The entire game would be 4 on 5 on the defensive end. He could probably only guard about five players without significant help in the entire NBA. He's too slow to help and cannot switch. If this were 1995, he's be a star, but its 2022.

Yeah I just can't imagine Zach Edey being an NBA player in the modern era. JV is a nimble gazelle on defense compared to Edey. He'll really need to add a 3PT shot to have a chance at ever becoming a role player in the NBA. That said, I could see him having a successful career in Europe, or Asia.

I'd take Edey and Flagler as our 2nd round picks (assuming we end up with another one for like Thad or Otto in a Trent deal) we could use bench players like them, since we're weak at the 1 and 5.

Edey is slow, but so was Walker Kessler (played off the floor in their tournament loss) and he's done well. Edey is a much more fundamentally sound, versatile finisher inside.

I'll have a proper take after I watch him play Dickinson a couple times, but his team is fantastic at everything except forcing turnovers (330th!) and that's gotta be on their 1-4 guys being unathletic. So I think he'll do fine as a backup center. He knows how to play and he's gigantic.

Filipowski is such a monster. I can see him dropping because of the typical unathletic white guy bias people have engrained in their minds.

He's grown almost 2 inches this past year to be 7'0!!! I can see him being like JV with the handles of a SF and passing.

PG Siakam
SG OG
SF Barnes
PF Filipowski
C Koloko

Tallest starting lineup of all-time!!!

Speaking of Lithuanians, Azuolas Tubelis! He's shooting 64/50/84!!! Maybe Troy Murphy 2.0? Though Murphy was a better rebounder.

Sweet! He should sneak into late 1st round. He might be the PF version of Keegan Murray.

I disagree with the Scottie comp. Amen is a lot more athletic and I can see him playing PG. I like a pre-injury Shaun Livingston more. He's not in our range but he could be our future PG at 6'7".

Something tells me, the speed and length of NBA players will make Cam Whitmore less effective than projected. I wouldn't take him in the top 10 but would consider after 10.

There's no way I see Baba (hands down current fav non-projected top 7 pick which I think can/will change, I don't personally see his potential being any different than Ausar, Whitmore or Miller - I'd argue his potential may even be higher and if he builds on what he's shown I'd consider him in the top 5) falling that far (19th) unless he turns into a pumpkin when he hits the NCAA.

I think his placement of Baba there is based too much on NOW, so to speak and what his current buzz is because right now he's out of sight, out of mind. But as a guy who follows prospects as he does he should know that once a player is back on the court, unless the player completely flops, you have to try & anticipate where would that player project in the draft IF he hadn't any missed time until he shows you otherwise. That's also not even factoring the Shiny New Toy Syndrome scouts will have as suddenly a 6'10-11 WING prospect emerges that has legitimate skills. If Baba can get going before the college season is out, personally I don't rule out him getting into top 5-7 convo, I'd argue he might be the Miller with the most potential lol.

Look at Ousmane Dieng, I'd argue Baba is an even better prospect than him, his game looked cleaner, more refined earlier (although who knows how this time off has affected him).

But I'm assuming he comes out (possibly even grown an inch or two, physically matured bit more) and still doing some of the stuff he was out on the perimeter...if you think Dieng jumped up to 13, just watch how Baba can. Especially if unlike Dieng, he's able to spend a half season or so playing in America where scouts can see more of those flashes first hand. I think Baba WILL/SHOULD crack the top 10 and if he doesn't, some team will have the ticket to maybe the biggest steal in the draft imo.

Outside of the current projected Top 7, Baba's my guy....then Anthony Black. Florida State hooked us up once already, TEAMBABA lol

I strongly suggest people watch below & hop aboard!! He has top 5 (or better, I don't see YET what would limit that) POTENTIAL imo but we'll see what he's like when he tries to play catch up & gets going into the season & tournament. If he turns out to be a pumpkin ok, I'll eat crow but to me the opportunity could be the short take off/college season where he doesn't even that chance to quit even show what he's capable of (ala Scottie) that I'd hope to take advantage of..

I think Baba's suspension is up about half way through January, so we'll find out where he stacks up soon enough

From the NCAA pool, really like what I've seen so far from guys like Brandon Miller (Alabama), Jarace Walker (Houston), Gradey Dick (Kansas), Kyle Filipowski (Duke), Brice Sensabaugh (Ohio State) and Taylor Hendricks (UCF).

There's also a few guys I've seen ranked high in early mainstream mocks that I haven't been impressed with what I've seen so far like Nick Smith (Arkansas), Cam Whitmore (Villanova), Dariq Whitehead (Duke) and GG Jackson (South Carolina).

I kinda like GG Jackson. With him in particular it's not about wins and losses, it's about him working on his game and showing what he could potentially be. I think he's gonna rise quickly come draft time, especially being 17 years old.

Edit : turned 18 this month. Dec 17th

For our 2nd rounder.

Best defender college basketball this year and rapidly improving offensive game (65.5 TS%). Shooting 39.3% from 3 on 2.3 attempts per game (was
25.9% on minimal attempts last year)

Even though Jaquez is the leader of the team, I’d say Clark is the best/most important player in the team
