Also now that hes back we need to reduce Hardens minutes inmediately, hes playing 40 min games in December, its a very very stupid move.

Those MPGs are a bit skewed due to playing a number of games that went into OT since Harden came back, but yes, he should be playing no more than 32-33 minutes during a regular 48 minute game. Hopefully with Maxey coming back, those minutes will go down a bit.

100 percent agree. The team is much better with Melton starting than it was with Maxey.

Not all is lost with Maxey though, he can still be a positive contributor if he comes off the bench and shoots well enough.

Yeah, because we won in home vs bad teams. Lol

Maxey is great next to Harden, he isnt good as a PG. You need to make it work with him as a starter.

Another loss and Maxey was a huge part of why, he had the worst +/- of all the players involved in the game. At this point he may even be worse than Trae on defense, while obviously offering nowhere near the offensive capabilities. He needs to improve because he is a huge liability at the moment.

Don’t agree at all Maxey is a very good offensive player. His defense is well below average, but his offense could carry the second unit, which really struggles to score at times. When you look at the plus minuses the Harden+Melton pairing is far better then the Harden + Maxey pairing by a lot!

That's fair I guess, he should improve in the next games. Still, his defensive woes will be there and this team has been so much better on defense without him, it's like we are a different team without him.

Ultimately I do think Maxey is an ideal 6th man candidate not just in general but specifically for us.

When the offence dries up he can run the 2nd unit and literally take every shot he likes and doesn’t have to defer. Stagger the lineup as Melton/Harden is obviously more sound on a two way standpoint.

Not big on a three guard lineup, I think Reed should be incorporated more with Maxey/Thybulle run and gun style.

For bench players, production is most important imo.
