Shams recently reported we offered 4 seconds for Crowder.

We also have a distant future first we could deal.

Grayson Allen, Jordan Nwora and George Hill are the most obvious salary filler.

Could see us being interested in PJ Washington as well as Rozier if we can cobble together enough asset value and contracts together for one of them.

id do Nwora and the distant first for Washington. I dont see how you can trade for Rozier, he earns to much, you'd have to add one of your rotation players. (which i doubt either team would want).

As long as it doesn't involve Grayson Allen I'm willing to talk.

Lol this team could use some grit my unc fan friend.

That being said I'd pass on the previous proposals.

I went to the better (South) Carolina.

I just don't like Allen's face. Grit has nothing to do with it. He's just an ****

Yeah. He's a dick. He plays hard though I'll give him that.

Still holding out hope that the plan with Denver pick all along is to attach it to Hayward contract this summer and move those two assets for an upgrade.

Hayward contract as an expiring and roughly the 50th highest paid player in the league will probably be viewed as relatively movable at that point. Whether as a buyout candidate or a playoff team who is willing to take a 1 year chance on him while picking up an asset.

Or it could be good contract filler if we decided to package several firsts for a disgruntled star.

Thanks for the feedback all.

Rozier’s contract is tricky, but the Bucks could send out enough salary if we were to do something like:

Terry for a future first (and some seconds if you need added sweetener), Allen, Nwora, Hill, and Wes Matthews.

Could see it being a 3-way deal if only since you wouldn’t want all four of our guys (ha feel you on the Grayson hate) required to make the contracts work.

Sure. Terry is a good player and would be great in the right system, just think he is a poor fit with LaMelo because of defense. He would be an absolute unit on a championship contender.

This is the team I want to see by the trade deadline.

LaMelo ~ Martin ~ Hayward ~ PJ ~ Richards
DSJ ~ Maledon ~ McDaniels ~ Thor ~ Williams
McGowens ~ Bouknight ~ Kai

We can only hope. We could have a late first and 2-3 seconds if we sell now on Oubre, Rozier and Plumlee

Thats what I'm hoping for. That core is solid and with a nice 30+ mil coming off the books from Haywards contract and Miles potentially returning next season. They can have a top 5 pick in this draft if they want plus another late 1st and 3 seconds already. Add another late 1st hopefully and a couple 2nds in future drafts from Rozier and company and that would really help bolster their draft capital.

They could take it a step further and try to get a pick of some sort for Hayward, which would give them a shot at keeping their 2024 1st and instead giving Spurs two 2nds, but I think they need to start building a case for LaMelo to stay by winning sooner than later and I like Hayward as a stopgap option on a huge expiring deal. They could actually make the playoffs and still keep the pick as long as they in the 15/16 spot.

Ideally I'd like to see them get a 2024 late 1st from Rozier, then an extra 2nd in 2024 and 2025. This would give them a lot of potential shots at adding talent over the next two years with one premium pick to land a star.

2023 CHA 1st (hopefully top 5)
2023 DEN 1st (looking like 25 or later, good job Mitch)
2023 UTA 2nd
2023 MIA 2nd
2023 BOS 2nd
2024 CHA 1st (to Spurs, top 16 protection)
2024 late 1st (Rozier trade)
2024 NYK 2nd
2024 BOS 2nd
2024 2nd (Oubre/Plum)

Do you think your front office would have any interest in moving Cody Martin? Celtics have a TPE that barely fits him. I'd think our offer would/could be Payton Pritchard and a top 32 protected HOU 2nd rounder in this draft. The pick is currently projected to be #33 last I checked, so definite risk of not conveying but picture might be clearer by the deadline.

Just checking if this would pass the sniff test of something you think CHA would be interested in at all.

I absolutely would not trade Cody for that deal. He's on a fair deal for 3.5 more years. Great defender 1 thru 3. Solid all around skills. We need as many of those types around Melo as possible. In his prime. We already have a plethora of 2nds. We need winners who play both ends.

You can have Terry back though

Plumlee and Oubre for Joe Harris + 1st round pick + 2 2nd round picks.

Cody Martin is a highly appreciated player around here on a three-year, team-friendly deal. No way we trade him unless we get something significant in return.

Would Charlotte trade Hayward? What would they want in return?

We hold the 2nd worst record in the NBA so we have no business attaching long term assets to move him. And the only way you move Fournier is if the Lakers take him.

I would think with so many teams coveting wings and with so few sellers and fewer wings available, players like Oubre + Hayward will command positive value.

I'd offer Oubre for Rose + McBride.

I don't think the value is far off at all.

Whether we do it is another story, since he and DSJ are our only guards/wings that have shown any interest in defending anyone.

Pretty funny on the trade board.

Every other proposal has us trading one of Hayward, Rozier, Oubre or PJ. Followed by a trade that argues they have no value.

Especially PJ Washington, who apparently is good enough to start for every team trading for him but apparently isn't worth anything in a trade.

I think you're high for thinking Oubre could command McBride back.
