He stood up to the guy everyone considers the GOAT and traded punches with MJ. And prime MJ if i'm not mistaken. Dont know many guys we could say they lived up to that challenge.

To clarify, i'm not saying he WAS the greatest to ever play, i just say he should be in the conversation, if we dont rank longevity that high (and i dont think many people outside a certain bubble do). Heres a random example: calling him the GOAT (with a question mark).

Ooof. I really liked Drazen, but there's no justification for this take other than wishful thinking.
He was an all-star...not an all-time star.

I would say a top 5 all time shooter (according just to one of the best shooter ever, Reggie Miller) must be an all time star.

Do you define Reggie Miller or Ray Allen an all time star?

This is just how you define it. I was thinking all time star as ATG top 20ish then no.

Is he really a top-5 all-time shooter, though? A legitimate question. He certainly has the career 3P% to be considered, but with only 2 seasons as a starter and 2.6 3PA/g as a Net (2.0 on his career), and a FT% which isn't in the same stratosphere as the other guys, it's a hard sell compared to a variety of more contemporary shooters who have done a lot more. Petrovic was good, but I think he gets the Reggie Lewis/Len Bias treatment because things were cut so short.

And it's a hard sell to call him an "all time star" after 149 starts in his whole career. He saw Mike James be crazy for 79 starts one year. Petrovic was obviously a lot better than Mike James (and more consistent a shooter, especially if you include his bench seasons), but you know what I mean. It's a terrifically small sample size and there are a LOT of players who have done incredible things over much larger sample sizes.

For a guy like Reggie with his huge ego to praise Drazen as a shooter like he did, I really think it should tell the whole story about Drazen's place in the list of the best shooters of all time.
It's also a guy who basically scored 100 pts in one game in Europe.

It doesn't mean anything, really, though.

Well...you do you, I guess.
I don't have Klay Thompson down as an all time star, not even close. And he played defence.
