Poku re-evaluated 6-8 weeks with with "non-displaced tibial plateau fracture in his left leg"
I guess he will play again this season but likely not at 100%. Damn it was so important for his development to play as much as possible this season.

Ouch. Hate to see that for him and really sucks for the team.
This year really hurts. Feels like everything has been pushed back a year.

Bummer but more relieved that is wasn’t an acl or meniscus.

Re: OKC Thunder 2022-23 Regular Season Discussion
this injury is not serious, much better than soft tissue. it's the same injury that ended bazley's season. poku should be back around the all-star break imo. it doesn't happen often in the nba but it's a 8-10 week thing. even yao only missed 10 weeks with this.
also i don't think missing a couple months is important for him development wise, he'll be fine. most of his development is happening in the offseason.

Sometimes periods of time off can help players reflect on things and actually improve when they’re back. Poku started the season really well but has fallen off in the past month - some time off to reflect on his play with coaching staff could do him some good.

Man, they are really making a point with bazely that you should sign an extension if offered. Even without Poku they are goin with jaylin and muscala. You on the bus or not? If not, you’re not going to make any money on that next contract. Kinda love it.

Bazley is clearly gone. Happy if we can get a late 2nd for him at the deadline.
Our frontcourt is so bad, painful to watch. Jaylin is trying his best but he's gonna need some major improvements to have a shot to become a decent NBA player.

Boston has three second rounders in the 2023 (none of them ours). I could see a rental being of some interest to us as an end of bench upgrade over Justin Jackson. Errr...is he an upgrade over Jackson?
(I'd say yes, but I mostly watch Giddey when an OKC game is on...lol)

He’s playing better but i still think of him as a shooter than can’t shoot.

Did we hear about any numbers for Bazely extension previously ?
There’s a chance that they give him until the trade deadline to see if he can perform close to his wanted numbers and if he can’t they will trade him somewhere to try and earn the contract there instead. Sort of like diallo. So now is just holding him out so he doesn’t get injured .

Didn’t he bulked up over the offseason ? Not sure if that explains some of his performance dropoff .

How are you salary matching cause you surely don’t want to pay tax on Bazely .
If you guys want him for a second I guess he can take some bench minutes as well but he can’t really space the floor now .

Re: OKC Thunder 2022-23 Regular Season Discussion
tre mann shot 40% from three as a sophomore on 112 attempts. he's shooting just under 34% in the nba on 417 attempts. he's a 78% free throw shooter in the nba and college, which is about league average. aside from the hot shooting his sophomore season, there really isn't anything there anymore which points to him being an above average shooter.
even on unguarded catch and shoot threes over the past two seasons, he's only shooting 38.2% on 112 attempts.
his shot diet of step backs and early shot clock jumpers belies his actual shooting proficiency.

No, I suspect you're right. We have plenty of space via trade exceptions, but tax would seem overkill for a 12th man.

Re: OKC Thunder 2022-23 Regular Season Discussion
I feel like this is more fitting after last night than it was after Schlecht initially posted it. I am really not trying to hate on the kid but I just don't see how he makes it in the league. I especially don't understand why the DTD crew talks about him like he's an allstar coming back from back surgery. Like I always say, I hope I'm wrong and our players develop into quality rotation guys at worst.
On a positive note, Giddey had a much better month. J Dub continues to be amazing. I hope after the deadline we get to see consistent minutes for Wiggins.

Re: OKC Thunder 2022-23 Regular Season Discussion
I kinda think his game is flashy so one can think he’s back once he’s making some shots , but honestly he need to do a lot more than back to remains part of the future plan.
Like for example with wiggins , he probably can fit as the 8th to 10th man with some experience so we know there’s a future role for him but for Mann , to be the 6th man he still have quite a bit of improvement to do .
But yes Giddey and J dub still doing well.

tre mann 11ppg on 47% ts since returning from the g-league. thunder media and twitter are completely ridiculous writing articles on g-league stint energizing him somehow. it doesn't work that way.

Same game I didn’t watch .
Edit : box score suggest we exploded from the 2 and 3 point line but nothing to suggest we will get more than 120-130 points…
I guess everything was falling in cause Roberson was in the crowd . Someone even won 20k from the half court shot .
