- Tyrese Maxey (age 22, 2 years remaining) + Tobias Harris (age 30, 2 years remaining)

- Michael Porter Jr (age 24, 5 years remaining) + Bones Hyland (age 22, 3 years remaining)

- DeJounte Murray (age 26, 2 years remaining) + John Collins (age 25, 4 years remaining)

- Anfernee Simons (age 23, 4 years remaining) + Josh Hart (age 27, 2 years remaining)

- OG Anunoby (age 25, 2 years remaining) + Gary Trent Jr (age 23, 2 years remaining)

OG is 2 years remaining, not 3. GTJ is also expiring since he will decline his PO. KAT can't even be traded and when he can it would be 4+1 PO remaining. Hart is also expiring since he will opt out

Yeah I think the options in those contracts factor pretty heavily into trade value.

These are also some really strange combinations. We don't know if you are trying to trade for a veteran or for futures.

This question simply cannot be answeried meaningfully in this format.

Let's say these packages are foundations to a Butler trade with Miami (emphasis on hypothetical as many of these assets are unlikely to hit the trade block). In this case the general format would be 'getting younger to compliment the Herro/Bam timeline while remaining competitive'. From that standpoint, what would be the most and least appealing offers?

It’s tough with all the vagueness, but Jaylen Brown is #1, Towns is #2, and MPJ/Hyland package is last, and I don’t think there’s much debate on that according to the Trade Board Poll. Wide divisions. For the rest, I would go

#3. Jaren Jackson + Zaire
#4. DeJounte and Collins
#5. Maxey and Harris
#6. OG and Trent
#7. Simons and Hart

(1) Brown
(2) Towns
(3) Murray + Collins
(4) JJJ + Zaire
(5) Maxey + Harris
[above here probably an overpay for Butler]

(6) OG + Trent
(7) Simons + Hart
[these two seem like the sweet spot on value]

(8) MPJ + Hyland [negative value]

KAT because 6 year deal
Brown because 2 year deal
JJJ+Zaire because both players look like starters
OG+GTJ because OG is a much valued wing
Simons+Hart because Simons youth
Maxey+Harris because Maxey youth but dragged down by Harris
Murray+Collins because Collins is not looking very good and Murray has apparently made his new team worse
MPJ+Hyland because negative value package

Brown if traded will become a FA in a year though. I think KAT is more valuable this offseason if both were on the block at the same time.

1.Jaylen Brown - He's the best player on this list and the best 2nd option in the NBA. There's concerns about his future contract, but it really doesn't matter all that much.

2. Karl Anthony Towns- He is locked long term and no major decline is expected.

3. Anfernee Simons + Josh Hart - Anfernee Simons could develop into a all star caliber player as soon as next season. Josh Hart is on a team friendly deal, which helps this package.

4. Tyrese Maxey + Tobias Harris - I feel Maxey has all NBA potential. More potential than Simons. It's even to the point where I would feel uncomfortable about including Maxey to land a star/superstar level player, unless for someone Kevin Durant, SGA or better. Tobias Harris contract isn't great, which is why this package isn't ranked even higher than this.

5. OG Anunoby + Gary Trent Jr. - Both of them are good 3 and D players and one of them is a defensive player of the year candidate.

6. Jaren Jackson Jr. + Ziaire Williams - Jaren Jackson has looked really good since his return. However Williams hasn't been impressive at all this season.

7. Dejounte Murray + John Collins - If this was last year, this package would be ranked much higher. However given how bad the Hawks have looked so far, combined with the fact that Collins production has dropped, combined with Murray not having the same of upside that these other guys have, the Hawks package is simply looking less valuable by the day.

8. Michael Porter Jr + Bones Hyland - Both are good 3pt shooters. However one has a very alarming injury history. One hasn't looked as good as expected and is shooting 40% from the field. This package isn't going to land any star caliber players(atleast star level players who are actually worth trading for in the 1st place), unless draft picks are attached to these players.

Tier 1 - Godfather offer:

1A) Karl-Anthony Towns - 3 unprotected picks/3 swaps/young players
1B) Jaylen Brown - 3 unprotected picks/3 swaps/young players

Tier 2 - All-Star offer:

3) DeJounte Murray + John Collins - 3 unprotected picks/young player
4) OG Anunoby + Gary Trent Jr - 3 unprotected picks/1 swap/fillers

Tier 3 - Future All-Star offer:

5) Jaren Jackson Jr + Ziaire WIlliams - 2 unprotected picks/fillers

Tier 4 - Good role player offer:

6) Tyrese Maxey + Tobias Harris - 2 unprotected picks/1 swap/fillers
7) Anfernee Simons + Josh Hart - 2 protected picks/1 swap/fillers
8) Michael Porter Jr + Bones Hyland - 0 picks/fillers

I must be the only person on here so low on Towns.

I find it crazy how he keeps having this sort of value on realgm. But since everyone but me has him that high I must be the crazy one.

But I'd take JJJ or OG package over towns. I wouldn't even have to think that hard.

You are not the only one. Towns equals empty stats.
