I dont know how to feel about this . No one on this team can consistently by their man so they overrely on Niang bombs. A player who may or may not be reliable enough to play in the playoffs.
Nobody in the NBA consistently gets by their man. With that said, Tyrese, Harden, and Shake are all good at doing so. Having another three point bomber who is locked in as soon as he fits the floor couldn't hurt. I'm also not going to say that Niang isn't playoff material. He was hurt last year, that's why he was so off in the postseason.
That's not true. Ofcourse there is not a single player that can get past the defense every time but their are players that can consistently break down the defense and get a shot for themselves or their teammates. Even watching Zion do it right now.
Maxey has a very good first step but once the defender takes that away he usually takes wild shot. Maxey IMO is more of a slasher with a pull up J than a shot creator. Harden though an elite playmaker and very good ball handler has lost a step and predictable offensively. Shake has no "Shake" to his handles and has never been quick with the ball.
