Vote Bagley

I think THJ gives you enough more than Bagley to be worth it

Beal. 5 year max, no trade clause, already missed 15/38 games, only averaging 23 ppg (fine but not for superstar money).

Going Bagley here. Multiple years left. Injury prone. Negative contributor even when he plays. He's just not a quality player. Other guys may be overpaid, but they deserve to be on the court. Bagley doesn't.

I think it’s Bagley or Beal for me too, for such different reasons. I think I’ll go with …

Bagley

Both are good choices, but maybe the additional bad money on Beal’s deal gets counteracted a bit by selling some tickets and merchandise? He’s also got the chance for high end play, so if I’m judging overpaid contracts, I’d rather put my money on a guy that could raise my ceiling. But man, a $58 mil player option and a no trade clause?!? Yikes!

Beal. That no trade clause is a killer. It means that if he does agree to be traded to a team, they're only likely to be bidding against themselves, so you can't even count on one bad GM overpaying. It's as close to unmovable as it gets in the NBA

I friggin hate Marvin Bagley, but he’s playable — as a mediocre backup big. Way overpaid at 3/37.5 for sure, the stupidest thing Weaver has done, but I don’t see how that even remotely compares to what Beal is locked into. Beal may only be semi-overpaid now, but it’s going to get so so so much worse in a few years,
