Can't hate them that much because they can't do a whole lot without LeBron's approval... But what's on the court right now is complete crap, and they're not doing a great job controlling the narrative... They're still living in a world where star players show their appreciation for 'loyalty'... They haven't realized yet that the more they try to keep LeBron happy, the deeper the whole they dig for themselves with their fans and their future. LeBron isn't Kobe... He doesn't give a **** about the Lakers or their fans. Just like he doesn't about Cleveland, or Miami...
So **** him now, or get **** by him later... that's the choice... Only question is timing.
OMG, so Ownership is now the victim because they made the deal with the ultimate Devil himself Satan who completely controls every decisions for the team.
Yes, they try to make Lebron happy...but as long as those decisions DO NOT SEVERELY CUT THEIR PROFITS.
Lebron WANTED Ty Lue to be the Head coach, a freaking WINNING FORMULA that worked in Cleveland, but they decided to make a lame duck offer limiting years of service and NOT having any options to pick his assistants, forcing Lue to decline.
So fine, Vogel with 2 great assistants worked... then what? they let Kidd walk and Hollins retire, replaced them Fizdale and simply promoted an untested inexperienced Mike Penberthy for the purpose of... SAVING MONEY!!!!!
They let Caruso walk, you think Lebron is so stupid enough that he ordered Rob to let the one guy who had a +16 pts with James on the court walk for nothing?
Laker got rid of Judy Seto and didn't replaced her.. because....? to save $$$$$ You really think Lebron have anything to do with that?
They shired a rookie coach and didn't bother to acquire assistants who have head coaching experience...Could it be because guys like Terry Stotts and Snyder are way out of their BUDGET?
They just simply waived their BEST SHOOTER who happens to be 6-9. Usually if you waive someone, you replace him with someone better... but where is the replacement?, hmmm may be another cost cutting move?
Am I being very presumptive about these owners? Perhaps.. but Aren't you also being presumptive about Lebron not caring about this team and the fans? Can't we accept it that he wants to win games too? I spent hard earned money to watch this team play in February and not a few of you are advocating to simply stay pUt and not doing anything to improve this team's roster because.... so you can piss Lebron off and punish him?
