Kyrie is a lose cannon. Can hurt can save.

Imagine posting this after KD balled out for the Nets in the 2021 Playoffs, with virtually no help from his teammates, with Kyrie and Harden going down with injuries, and then watching the 2022 Nets go on an 11-game losing streak without him, forcing him to rush back from his knee injury to save the season of a team that had a lame duck head coach, a player that demanded to be traded (Harden), a player that refused to play (Simmons) and a player that was banned from playing (Kyrie).

I get it. He had a crap shooting game by his standards, and the Celtics series was ugly, but he has enough equity at this point that this level of hatred is absurd for the player who has been the most consistent of any player on the roster, since he returned to the court.

Also, this is a blatantly false narrative. KD has an easily accessible history of being a huge playoff performer, and he has the highest average game score in NBA Finals history, which includes the pre-GS Finals.

Chill.

Go di** ride him somewhere else. KD been hot trash for quite some time.

You know he got swept and was bailing out just few months ago. Ok than.

Mental midget he is.

A lot of absurd overreactions in this thread.

Yes KD and Kyrie were off this game. But it happens.

KD has freaking 40 points last game. Give him a **** break.

We did what we had to win. Nets W.

New Orleans is a very good team. If they are fully healthy they would be equipped to push their way to the WCF in my opinion. They are so well coached and fun to watch.

Yep. I think folks are underestimating the opponent tonight

The opponent down their 2 best players? Look at any of the top teams around the league, and then take away their 2 best players. How good are they now? Shouldn't a healthy contender beat another contender without its 2 best players like 99% of the time? Like, how many other contenders would we beat without Kyrie and KD playing?

Now, I get it, it's the RS, it's the NBA, **** happens. But we did play pretty poorly and it was disappointing to see.

The opponent is 5-1 without their two best players. These guys aren't scrubs

The Bucks just got blown out by the Hornets at home and its some massive deal that we had trouble with New Orleans on the road.

Boston also just got blown out by OKC without SGA.

These overreactions are so dumb.

When he plays somewhere else, I'll be more than happy to. In the meantime, I guess he'll have to suffer crybaby, malcontent fans like you, who think it's anything but a horrible look to crap on the best player on the team.

He's having the most efficient midrange season in the history of the sport, but he's been hot trash. Okay, great.

And if we judge players by their worst playoff series ever, I guess Shaq (multiple sweeps), Magic (Tragic Johnson), LeBron (2011), Giannis (2020 Playoff embarrassment), and many other great players are all hot trash.

Let me repeat myself.

Chill. I have no problems with people criticizing KD or the team, but you are throwing an actual temper tantrum like a petulant child.

I mean, KD is a massively overrated playoff performer, with a ton of unearned reputation that got built up in GS when he was 2nd fiddle to Curry. This is definitely true.

He had a ton of struggles in the PS while in OKC, and even in 2021, he had monster games against Milwaukee, but he also had some bad ones. It wasn't like he dominated the entire series and we lost because he was outgunned. Our 3 losses prior to game 7 were all winnable, and he didn't play well in any of them. And we don't even have to talk about last season.

He's a great player, and he's overall decent in the playoffs. Any talk of him being some dominant or legendary playoff performer is just media narrative though. He's disappointed more often than not.

Youre having a meltdown about KD while hes having an MVP caliber season because of one poor shooting tonight.

Youre being ridiculous.

Sometimes you just gotta win ugly, but it's a win at the end of the day.. and Bucks and Philly lose as well so we move back up in standings. First off, Claxton has been awesome in every way this year, he is killing it on defense ! And he hustles, we won't get this far without Claxton, he's definitely a pivotal part of this team and a game like today showed. Val had his way with him last time but Claxton made sure it wasn't going to happen this time and he played with vengeance !

Simmons also helps us defensively, those 2 offensive fouls he drew where he runs into the player giving the ball off is a nice sneaky play. O'neale came up big for us today after having a off game against the Bulls, he def helped us win. Warren is another unsung hero, dude just knows how to play and picks his spots well. Harris hasn't been right this whole season man smh really wish he gets his grove back.

A game like today is where we could of really used some of our younger energetic guys like Kessler Edwards or Duke, they could of helped match up with those young guys on the Pels. They just had too much energy for us. Not sure if they was available but they could of helped. KD was kinda off today but whatever, he can't be perfect all the time. Kyrie was off as well but he really needs to stop just jacking up 3s, he needs to break into the lane and try to draw some fouls to get to the line if he's having an off game, just like KD did.

This was definitely a playoff intensity game and that's the type of defense we'll be playing against in the post season. They played us tough without their top 2 star guys , the Pels are going to be a great team and might do some damage this year. A game like today showed me we still need another legit player or 2 because Harris tends to choke in big games.

Exactly.

This is offensively challenged and undersized team that needed to be blown out.

Instead they exposed our ISO KD and Kyrie freestyle plays.

But since they only had CJ to score we get the win.

How is that going to work vs legit PO contender that is healthy?

Don't share your enthusiasm.

And yes at this point I don't consider NOP legit Chip contender. Ingram, CJ and Zion played exactly 0 min for the half of the season.

They not beating Joker or Curry led teams.

KD was the best player on those Golden State teams and won FMVP in both series.

He took OKC to the Finals. And other years had to deal with freaking Westbrick.

His only truly bad playoffs was last year. And that was after Kyrie/Harden tanked the whole season and we had the worst coach in NBA History.

Also saying he had some "bad games" vs Milwaukee is laughable. He was insanely good that entire series and nearly won it by himself. His second best player was Bruce Brown after Kyrie got hurt. Harden couldn't even run.

Saying KD is a bad playoff performer is patently absurd. Hes one the of the best playoff performers of all time.

Who is better exactly?

LeBron yeah.

Curry routinely choked until last year. Kawhi has had multiple meltdowns. Giannis as well.

They mad a ton of lucky 3s and our two best players were just off.

There is no concern from this game at all. Zero.

When we needed to ramp it up we did.

I've been watching and saying KD is hot trash for quite some time even during winning streak.

I'm just focusing on it more because teams adjusted. Will continue doing so moving forward.

He is liability right now. Whether you like it or not, he stagnates offense and cheats on rotations while being on D.

Milwaukee is really not that good anymore in my view. I don't see Middleton solving all their problems offensively.

Boston is the biggest concern in the East for sure.
