However, if he plays a fair amount off the ball and next to a dynamic wing, he'll space the floor, secondary playmake and guard the point of attack. So whether he's a starter depends on how teams want to use their PG stylistically, imo.

Also, I think he's probably going to measure out around 6'3".

Kentucky already measured him and the rest of the players on the team at their Pro Day right before the season started. Cason is 6'3" in shoes with a 6'6" wingspan..

UK is listing him at 6'4" currently. Not sure it matters. He'd have more impact as a defender if he were bigger.

He was already listed at 6'4" on their website before the team had their Pro Day. The pro Day measurements were posted by an independant, unbiased media outlet.

I don't think the team would go back in afterwards and update the website to put that he is actually an inch shorter, hurting his draft stock.

Plus, the people who were there taking measurements at the Pro Day probably aren't the same people who put info on the school's athletics site..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Suns could use this guy badly. They'll probably have like the 16th pick though and draft some PF who is projected to go in the mid 30s.

great fit on the Suns, perfect guard to spell Cp3 and then potentially take over after he retires, makes a lot of sense next to Book too. think he goes higher than where the Suns will pick tho.

I think this could wind up being another Kentucky guard who can do more than what he was allowed in his role. I am a fan, I think there is more upside on offense than people may realize.

Cason is no doubt the guy Im going through the most roller coaster ride with so far this year. One game I will come away thinking he is the next in line of the Smart/Jrue mold and I have him around my top 7, then the next game I come away thinking, I just dont trust his facilitating or not having a dynamic enough handle to be anything more than a 3&D guard at the next level and have him in the late teens. My guess is by the end of the year I will probably end up somewhere in the middle and have him around 12th or so.

I think he's better than Davion...although I had Davion 25th on my board lol.

So ya that roller coaster thing I was talking about. Definitely not at a high point right now haha.

Is he truly capable NBA starter at PG or another Davion Mitchell (nice rotation player but...)? I ask because ORL already has 3 or 4 backup PG's but not a true floor general. Fultz can't/won't shoot, doesn't draw fouls, and isn't really a capable PnR guy (which Paolo NEEDS to live his best life)...I'm praying for Scoot but is Wallace GOOD or just the second best in a weak PG draft?

he's a much better offensive player than Davion and obviously at a much faster developmental curve

He isn't really a pure point guard but he could fit with your team as you have Paolo and Franz who handle the ball as well.

I personally like this draft at PG/SG

Scoot
Amen
Aussar
Pod
Schif
Cason

I would go with Pod for your team. Best shooter of the bunch.

One of my favorite prospects in this draft honestly. I think Dallas and Charlotte should be targeting him. He is the perfect guard next to a big point guard with defensive issues.

Ill come in and be a dissenting voice. I think he is just a bigger Davion Mitchell. I caught all but one of his conference games, just not sold on him ever being a legit lead guard in the NBA. His handle is too basic in my opinion. Just really lacks any dynamic handle or wiggle with the ball in his hands (especially trying to go left). I think he ends up in an off ball role.

With that said I do like him better than Davion coming out. He's bigger and I have less questions with his shot because he is actually a good FT shooter unlike Mitchell.

He's like 10X the prospect Davion was when you consider his size and age advantage.

I don't like betting against Kentucky guards under Calipari, or PGs who had to play the 2 because the team had a tiny starter.

Slipped my mind but honestly but not high on him like others. Have him middle of the 1st.
