Just do my Butler to Portland trade. Reset this mother and give us something to hope for.

After all the discussions it comes back to the Timberwolves as our perfect trading partner. They need a vet PG like Lowry to right the ship and feed there bigs and also nurture Edwards. They also could use Duncan's gravity. They also need to make up for trading away all of it's picks so taking on Lowry and Duncan is not burdensome for them whatsoever if compensated with said picks for players they could actually put to good use in the short term. Win Win here

It took a lot to get D-Lo from GS, they'll want compensation thrown in... which will be a tough sell for Miami since they'd want him for his expiring contract and probably wouldn't sign him next year unless it's at a HUGE discount which D-Lo wouldn't do. It would help Minnesota but it's probably not going to get done, you probably need a 3rd team that wants D-Lo to make it happen.

We would be getting out of upwards of close to 48 million between Lowry and Robinson. Surely we would have enough to give DLO a respectable contract in the mid 20's that would save us money. Just messing around on the checker 47.4 million in and out for Russell, Anderson and Prince for Lowry, Robinson, and Jovic. That's matching salaries to the penny without discussing what type of pick compensation. Prince deal expires and Anderson is on the hook for one more year at a very affordable rate. I know this is not the fan favorite deal because it does not include Reid but it's a very realistic deal once draft pick compensation is placed and factoring the salary Wolves would be eating here.

Quick reset by moving Butler and Lowry, tank for rest of year, and the Heat can be back in contention as soon as next year. Why can’t Riley see it?
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

We can sit here and nitpick every deal and every scenario all day but in the end deals are going to get down one way or the other. Dlos expiring so they lose him for nothing or get a PG who fills their needs better. When DLo walks this summer they don’t have cap space to improve or replace him. That deals a win win on both sides.

With the way they’re looking and dame solidifying hisself as the top scorer in their history it might be time for them to send us Dame and/or Grant :o

You have to find a way to get Naz imo. If you have to throw in a 1st so be it, he’s a long term fit

I’m also intrigued by Jae on the buyout market. I don’t see a trade for him anywhere getting done. He wants to be here and has always wanted to be here. Give the Suns back $5M and get your buyout

100% agree. Have to find a way that makes the salaries work and keeps both teams under the tax. Will go back to the drawing board

Luckily he’s very cheap. It could be as simple as adding Yurt to match salary

MettaWorldPanda wrote:John Collins has the potential to be the extreme elite dirty work type PF this team is sorely lacking. His presence alone would unlock so many possibilities for this squad. Look beyond the stats and his current situation with the Hawks and envision him between Bam and Butler. Can't be so short sighted here. Think of the Markannen situation.

I legit had this same parallel thought today on Collins. A lot of similarities to the Markannen situation. Collins actually has more runs on the board and was a 20-10 guy alone. Since Trae came, it seems he’s more of an afterthought.

I’m not sure he’s a dirty work guy, but he’d be a good buy low option for sure.

Honestly, you move Butler and Lowry and I don't know if our record really takes a hit this year. ICC mentioned some perception issues with this year's iteration. You might be saving yourself a massive headache in the near future.

I just hate seeing years be wasted due to tax implications and continuing to rebuild our team with g leaguers because we don't see the draft as a viable solution.

We traded away Precious for Lowry. We might trade Jovic as well. We will replace them with undrafted players while mumbling culture whenever asked about personnel.

Russell
Prince
Reid

for

Lowry
Martin
Jovic
Dedmon
2023 1st rd pick

The numbers work for both sides in this deal and doesn’t gut there entire front court. Hard to make things work with Duncan that makes sense for the Wolves. Trying to put myself in there shoes.

Good to see Dipo can provide star level play. Not confident how much of these types of games his body would allow it. And how will the Heat utilize a maintenance program on him. Praying for no set backs and for him to make to the playoffs.

Always felt he was the perfect star point guard for Spo.

Really wish we could have seen the growth of Yurt in the team system

Ah, yes. We don't have any 2nd rounders till 2077. Can't match any team in picks.

Dipo's contract has a player option in the offseason.

Might want to consider selling him now before he opts out and demands a bigger deal
