There's more than one way to bring in a 6'9" shooting, defensive young player. Masai is probably trying to find the African equivalent to this guy who turned down UCLA - no need. He's not athletic but who cares. Love his mentality and he's 18. He's going to rise and be a second round pick.

He didn’t turn down UCLA. He was silently committed but he couldn’t get past the university admissions process so the school couldn’t take him.

It happened with both Ege Demir and Buyuktuncel this summer. Demir tried to take the Toefl twice to get admitted but couldn’t get the required score either time lol

I do like Buyuktuncel’s game though. Was really pissed he couldn’t get admitted to ucla

Thanks for the full story. I am late to find out about this guy, he's pretty good. He would've been good in UCLA.

Another impressive game for Brandon Miller. This dude is the truth. That 3pt shot is for real.

Cason was horrendous though. Still a fan of his.

Yep he’s definitely a guy who I think will be good in the NBA. I don’t see star potential but I think he’ll become a very solid role player in the league

Unfortunately don’t think Masai takes him since he doesn’t really fit the mold of guys we usually take

Again not a fan of the twins at all. Freakishly athletic and terrific playmakers (especially Amen), but not knowing how to shoot is a huge red flag.
Very high risk, high reward talent.

Neither is top 5 in my books.

That's my issue with them as well. Feels like smaller Scottie clones.

I feel yall on this.

I just think the twins are just in another tier compared to Scottie in terms of athleticism.

If we don't get a top 5 pick and Amen falls out of the top 5, I think you gotta get him.

Yeah for sure. Amen is like the Kuminga of this draft IMO.

Huge fan of Jarace, top 10 talent IMO. Although, I really wanna use this draft to finally get a shooter that can create for himself or create for others. Jett Howard is a guy I really like in that regard.

Agree. Need to findnthat balance. This team needs a creator more than ever. Someone like a poor mans jayson tatum or we trade it in a package for SGA.

It'd be amazing if we can acquire another lottery pick. Imagine we come out of this draft with Howard + Walker... :o

Cam Whitmore got them poor mans Tatum vibes.

I like him.

They have almost Draymond-esque releases  but the talent is there. If Masai thinks they're the guys I'm on board. The raw tools are all there. Obviously, we need to do a better job developing guys other than Pascal. But if either of these guys are willing to work the sky's the limit. Work ethic and mind set will be huge in their pre-draft interviews.

Dariq Whitehead might be that guy. He has to do A LOT to get close to Tatum, but he's the closest guy I've seen.

Whitehead is too small to be like Tatum...Baba Miller on the otherhand, looks like THE steal of the draft to me right now assuming he stays under the radar (which I pray he does as Scottie did as FSU as well)...get on the wagon (although ofc gotta see what he looks like when he gets here, he might be a pumpkin, I'm denying he could flop but he looks like a great prospect -- might be 2nd highest imo if he looks as he has in footage, flame away) lol.....*shoutout Jarace Walker though, I'm with you on liking him as a non top 5 prospect, if he can improve off the dribble, there's a ton of potential there physically.

Ironically I think you have the wrong Celtic lol if anything he reminds me of Jaylen Brown. 6-6-6'7ish with a strong frame & athletic. He's a bit more advanced at the same age but I think he's more in line with Brown than JT because Tatum is taller/longer (who's 6'9-6'10), more of a natural scorer with better shooting touch. I could be wrong but personally I really get more of a Jaylen Brown or Jimmy Butler vibe to Whitmore than Tatum.
