Not sure why they would put so much afford in his recovery, have him practice with the team and then say, nope-sorry. He have said he could play and so have some of our players. I just want him to play.
They'd be off the hook for the remainder of his contract. If they don't waive him they must think he'll have that value next season .

Good point. But that’s wild putting in so much effort and not letting him play.
I think they will let him play soon.

We were all told before the beginning of last season that we would see JI return at some point during the season. That was a lie. He's had no serious injury since then. He was fully healed towards the end of last season and "ran out of time" to ramp things up. So just exactly what in the flying f*** happened in the off-season that he wasn't "ramped up" by training camp? Or preseason? Or opening day? Or November? Or December? Or Christmas? Or New Year's? Or what's next all star break? ................
The leadership of this organization is lying by omission every single day to us. It's pathetic and cowardly

He had a hamstring injury at the end of last season, he “rain out of time” because they had to do surgery and he didn’t have enough time to bring his conditioning back. That’s why he actually did not start the 2021-2022 season because they were trying to condition himself back but for whatever reason he wasn’t able to condition right, found out about the hamstring, and then he had to start the process all over again. Also, Orlando didn’t look like they were trying to win games so holding him out while he rehab wasn’t that big of a deal to them.

He is now practicing with the team, they’re on a road trip-he did not join them-so if Orlando doesn’t waive him by the 10th, it seem like he will be playing for us this season. When? That’s a mystery only God knows.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.-John 3:16

This all just highlights to me how we have the WORST media in the league. How has a half-decent reporter not torn this recovery timeline to absolute shreds yet? Ill tell you why... because our media are a bunch of blog boys, led by none other than Phillip Rossman Reich, all of whom are suckling on the teet of the Magic's media managers, not wanting to step a foot wrong or heaven forbid they wont get into the next press conference. Can not wait for some sense of relevance to return and actual media outlets with some credibility and clout to start covering the team again.

It’s going to take the national media to question it. It’s not fair to expect small-time reporters to put their livelihoods on the line after working hard to get access to begin with.
