THat's probably more NBC, they negotiated a right to flex late-season games.

Of course NBC is going to grab that game.

That does hurt the potential drama though, if Detroit finds it has nothing to play for.

Campbell drives that team hard but there has to be a letdown if they're eliminated before their game.

But if Seattle loses it makes that game even more meaningful

49ers end the regular season riding a 10 game winning streak, and owning the #2 seed in the playoffs.

Will host either the Seahawks if Packers lose tonight or Green Bay if Packers win tonight, in the 1st round

Packers are on a winning streak so probably stronger.

But I don't know about playing a division rival a third time.

Also I think a game vs. Seattle could be more physical with Walker.

So Packers may be a better choice to get through the WC round relatively unscathed.

I think the Packers are still a run first offense, both backs are good.

Since Brock Purdy has taken over we are averaging 33.5 points a game, before it was 22.6. Also has a passer rating of 112.02

Purdy has opened up the offense as Shanahan seems to call the offense closer to how he wants to call it compared to how he was forced to call it with Jimmy.

But I do think a factor going under the radar a bit is CMC has been getting more and more comfortable with the offense and honestly I think his addition has been the bigger factor in opening up the offense.

I don't love either matchup but I'd rather play Seattle at this point.

I'd be more leery of Seattle if the game was in Seattle since they always struggle in there it seems no matter what but with a home game where the Seahawks typically struggle I'd rather see them.

Seahawks have cooled off pretty considerably since their hot streak early on in the season and they haven't really done much in either game this season and I don't think anything has really changed there. In fact I think the 9ers would go into that matchup a little healthier compared to their matchup a few weeks ago.

Totally agree. Our screen game under Kyle has been pretty bad nearly every year but these past 4 or so games the screen game has been amazing and that has been mainly CMC. He is such a weapon that most of the time I don't really care that Purdy checks down to him a lot.

Packers down 4 with 3 min left, Lions with the ball

Seattle's offense has slowed down considerably the past month or so. As long as we spy Geno and have C. Ward on DK pretty much all game and Jimmie on Lockett, our defense will hold them to under 20 IMO. Being at home will be a huge advantage too. Deebo and Mitchell back in the mix and more experience for Purdy and CMC I think the offense should continue to put up nearly 30

All of this is very encouraging.

With Deebo and Mitchell returning to action yesterday, San Francisco is going into the playoffs in pretty good shape health wise. Hopefully that trend sustains for the next month

Got to run it down Seattle's throat. They're a great matchup for our offense. On D, got to stop the run and get pressure. Good news is that Geno isn't much of a runner. In fact, outside of Hurts and Jones, there isn't much in the way of mobile QBs in the NFC field. That's ideal, because mobile QBs - even mediocre ones - have been killing us for years now. Though by those standards, got to consider Dak mobile.

Just like last year against us. He went for the homerun again on 3rd and two, threw another easy pick.

The 9ers have simply 0 business losing to the Seahawks.

However with that said this is a team in the Shanahan era that is fully capable of shooting itself in the foot and losing a game they have no business losing. They are definitely capable of starting slow and playing undisciplined and having it kill them in the end.

But I'd argue the team is in a better position now than the other two games they played against the Hawks this season so a loss would be a pretty epic fail for them.

We match up really well with Seattle, especially on offense. They struggle against the run and they can't cover TEs and RBs. This shouldn't be close. But it's a division opponent playing with no real expectations and nothing to lose, which is dangerous (see: Lions, Detroit), so we absolutely cannot take them lightly. We have to come to play on both sides of the ball, and hopefully we put them away before the 4th quarter, as we should.

If we play our game, I don't see Seattle beating us. But we are very capable of beating ourselves (turnovers, mental errors, penalties). If we stay disciplined and focused and take care of our business, we should beat the SeaChickens by 10 or more.
