JRich comes to help D double and gets called for a WAY LATE foul after deflecting the ball...

1ST Q: SPURS 37 GRIZZLIES 32

Well WOW! We poured on the points with great movement, great D to O transition play, second chance points, and getting to the FT line (9-10).

We have 9 assists already but also 5 TOs. Have to be careful with these. Good team and man D otherwise.

Awesome attack of their paint. Awesome blocking 5-2, four of which are by Jakob.

If only we could make more of our 3s... only 2-9 so far.

Get physical, protect the ball, get stops, create and make god to great shots.

Well ****!

I barely finished doing a 1ST Q write up and our 5-point lead has turned into a 6-point deficit courtesy of TOs, missed shots, and bleeding transition points in the paint and at the arc for an 11-0 run given up to start the 2ND Q lolol

We can't leave Jakob back there by himself in the back court when he fought for the D board but then quickly got doubled. We leave guys in the back court without looking back too often.

Of course, in addition to making our 3s is contesting them.

We've allowed a bloody onslaught 7-8 from 3 already

It's 22-7 in this Q...

Sochan another bad pass - one handed back whip.

He passed it to where our guys should be, but didn't factor in the reality of a defender... Look, pass.

We miscommunicated on D there. Three Spurs in the key and there's a trailing opponent down the middle for a dunk...

Collins did almost everything right - got the inbounds pass, passed it, set screen, O board, but when he went up he went straight up not forward. Pump fake more...

Keldon did almost everything right - posted up, got the space, made the move to turn toward the basket but used the wrong angle off the glass again for a missed bunny.

Oof Tre with a bad final O possession, a rare tunnel vision sequence where you could see he wasn't going to give up the chance to score, and he... airballed a 3.

He was pushing it because he missed so many.

I'll live with Sochan's mistakes because he is clearly getting better and more aggressive. He can work on that next year :D

2ND Q: SPURS 62 GRIZZLIES 76

The difference a big star makes...

Our D slipped, out shots stopped falling, or 3s stayed not falling, while we gave up steals, TOd it, got badly outrebounded, got blocked. Just OOF!

There's something about Keldon being in the lineup that at times inhibits our fast pace even though he did better to make the outlet pass ahead quickly.

JRich was visibly frustrated with non-calls on his drives. Hopefully he and we can channel it better i the second half. Keep pushing.

We were not fast enough getting back on D, allowed too many drives down the middle, with too many players out of position in the paint and at the arc.

We are only 4-14 from 3 -- both attempts and makes are too low.

Sort of shocking we have 62 points given Keldon (1-7), Romeo (1-6), and Tre (3-9) are struggling to score, given we have only one starter in double figures, and given we have only one bench player in double figures as well.

Keldon leads us with 9-9FTs, but no one from the bench had a FT attempt. Need better balance there as well as at the arc.

Get more physical, get better recognition of who does what versus whom, be responsible for running back on D effort, keep moving on O.
